lieberman is an independent and i know of no one who associates him with the democratic party
he may have been mccain's first choice but, had he been candidate for veep, mccain would have lost in a landslide, and crossover voters like me, who will never vote for him
lieberman has questionable morals and no allegiance even to country, much less party, no matter how he bloviates like a trained seal with untreated allergies
it just wasn't going to happen, the hard rightists despised him as well
Actually, Game, a number of Republicans spoke at the DNC, including former Representative Jim Leach, a Republican mayor of a town in Alaska--how oddly prescient in retrospect, eh?
I agree with Anon. Republican base hated John McCain. (remember, Ann coulter's - I would vote for Hillary??) They couldn't stand him for his Amnesty bill, campaign finance reform, views on torture, oush for surge etc.
Now, here we are....All conservatives worshipping him! :)
By the way, I love him and I think he should be our next president. It's too sad that he had to put this character on the VP slot!
there was no democrat convention. are you talking about the democratic national convention?
ReplyDeletecheney and bush weren't even at the republican convention.
this post is meaningless. yawn.

I bet both of the commenters here voted for Gore/Lieberman in '00.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, Republicans have nominated a democrat for Presidential race this time. It speaks volumes!! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou would imagine that they would have nominated a far-right guy to fight a far-left guy on othe other side, right?
Now I'm confused...aren't we supposed to call him Sore Loserman?
