Gas could fall to $2 if Congress acts, analysts say

Once again, liberals are directly negatively affecting your lives.
They are making your gas twice as high as it should be...
They don't let us drill
they don't let us refine
They don't like the fact we use gas at all as has been proven by liberals comment on this very blog...

McCain proposes something that can help the economy better than any other plan mentioned...and it is shot down by Obama.
I know Obama thinks taxing the crap out of companies (who create jobs) and rich people (who spend lots of money) will fix everything.
Just remember that every single thing that liberals have EVER introduced has hurt anyone who wants America to be a better place...a place where the responsible are not constantly punished.

Because of the failed thought of liberals your gas is 4 bucks a gallon...period

Republicans introduced a bill to drill in Alaska ten years ago, it would be online NOW.
Liberals complain that we have to use alternative fuels and energy...While that sounds good, they have been saying that for 40 YEARS...how long are we going to wait for them to get their act together...how long can you let your gas get more expensive, how long can you let the economy and quality of life in America deteriorate...

Liberals then show they don't have a clue and put up graphs and charts showing that more drilling is only a small percentage of oil produced...this article shows that (as with most things) a liberals simplistic thought process is a detriment to the cause.

If the US showed the world they were going to stop being brain dead and use just a small amount of common sense the rest of the world would figure out they couldn't keep inflating the price of oil since the United States was going to stop listening to the hippies and use its own resources.

Just think if you told our founding fathers what the hippie environmentalist liberals created a climate where we can't use our own energy resources and have to get it from other countries...
They would have laughed you out of the building.
But this isn't funny.
Wake up America
Stop allowing liberals to hurt you directly, personally on a daily basis.

Wow game, hyperbole up the ass. You are moving to PCD zone yourself. You have no perspective and my proof is your comment noted above. How is one to respect your opinion when you apparently have no grasp of US history? You can talk this bullshit all you want but you won't change any minds this way. As a matter of fact you just alienate people more and make your opponents angry enough to fight harder. This whole post is nothing but inane ranting. There is nothing intelligent or thoughtful. The entire thing is wildly, easily debatable and you talk like it is gospel or something. There is no gospel in politics. As a matter of fact what is great for some is horrible for others and vis versa. Thats how it works..unfortunately. I understand it comes from your frustration that your own party has so badly messed up even according to people on this blog. Don't feel bad, mine has too and I'm not super excited about the choices myself. I see you are scared because you know your reign on the right is about to end. I know you are 30 something and as I said before you haven't lived you have only lived at an era that people telling you how those not following the conservative gospel will go to hell. I get it...really. I promise you there is nothing to fear. Well,no worse than what you have already lived though. Get a grip pal. I am losing respect.

how uninformed can you be? this is exactly what the democratic congress is trying to do: end the enron loophole and regulate the speculators. yes the current price of gas, at least according to these four analysts you "cite" is a legacy of kenny lay and the republican's unwillingness to do anything about it. and if closing the loophole doesn't pass now, it's because of the republicans blocking it.

Ron, you have said that before, and I have written posts showing how failed liberal policy has created the depressing situation of our inner cities.
You guys never do and can not debate that.
The welfare state is created by liberals and creates more and more people who live in a world of learned helplessness....a helplessness created by more and more handouts, more excuses, more "talking about why you rob and steal", no consequences, no punishment, no responsibility, nothing..
It makes me sick, I see it every day...
I was JUST going to write how I respected your opinion and how you USUALLY are level headed and try to make your point...but then the insult.
Whatever Ron, I see first hand how things are in this country, and it isn't the conservatives causing it.

Ron--

I can't figure out what your point is, other than Game's observation how the environmentalist agenda harms the working people in this country really, really makes you mad.

I guess the truth hurts.

Game, I know an angry post when I see it.
Do you think we should have child labor because the liberals ended it. Do you think labor should have a say? Do you think they should be able to work in a place that is not a danger to their life because its cheaper to do it that way? Liberals led the way on fixing that. Do you think people should starve or live in the streets? Your thoughts on this issue of liberal vs conservative are quite radical. Should we let the air get to China dirty or water be undrinkable, because the enviromentalist wackos led the way in making it safe.
For you to say ...
Just remember that every single thing that liberals have EVER introduced has hurt anyone who wants America to be a better place

Is just wild hyperbole and not worth a respectful reply.

Yes liberals have sometimes gone too far with their efforts. Some of them I disagree with too and you likely could get me to agree on some of it. Some of them need a different answer in a different era, but to say that everything they have ever done has been harmful to America is childish and not worth respect. Act like a thinking person and you will get a thoughtful response. Same for you Jason.
I repeat, there is no gospel in politics. I think that is my biggest problem with much of what you guys say.

FIRST -- do you know what ANWR is??ANWR = Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.??.???Now -- A comparison?

??And some perspective?

??NOTE WHERE THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AREA IS?(it?s in the ANWR Coastal Plain?)

??THIS IS WHAT THE DEMOCRATS, LIBERALS AND GREENS SHOW YOU WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT ANWR?and they are right? these ARE photographs of ANWR

ISN'T ANWR BEAUTIFUL?? WHY SHOULD WE DRILL HERE (AND DESTROY) THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE????WELL? THAT?S NOT EXACTLY THE TRUTH??Do you remember the map??The map showed that the proposed drilling area is in the ANWR Coastal Plain?Do those photographs look like a coastal plain to you???WHAT?S GOING ON HERE???.?..?..?..?..?..?.???THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE??THAT IS?NOT?WHERE THEY ARE WANTING TO DRILL!?THIS IS WHAT THE PROPOSED EXPLORATION AREA ACTUALLY?LOOKS LIKE IN THE WINTER

?AND THIS IS WHAT IT?ACTUALLY?LOOKS LIKE IN THE SUMMER

?HERE ARE A COUPLE SCREEN SHOTS FROM GOOGLE EARTH

?

??AS YOU CAN SEE, THE AREA WHERE THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT DRILLING IS A BARREN WASTELAND.????OH? AND THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE EFFECT ON THE LOCAL WILDLIFE??HERE IS A PHOTO (SHOT DURING THE SUMMER) OF THE DEPLETED WILDLIFE? SITUATION CREATED BY DRILLING AROUND? PRUDHOE BAY *?
DON?T YOU THINK THAT THE CARIBOU REALLY?HATE?THAT DRILLING??

?HERE?S THAT SAME SPOT DURING THE WINTER.

?HEY, THIS BEAR SEEMS TO REALLY "HATE"THE PIPELINE NEAR PRUDHOE BAY *?

*The Prudhoe bay area accounts for 17% of? U.S.?domestic oil production??NOW, WHY DO YOU THINK THAT THE DEMOCRATS ARE LYING?ABOUT ANWR??REMEMBER WHEN AL?GORE SAID THAT
THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD WORK TO ARTIFICIALLY RAISE GAS PRICES
TO $5.00 A GALLON??WELL?AL?GORE AND HIS FELLOW DEMOCRATS HAVE ALMOST REACHED THEIR GOAL!??NOW THAT YOU KNOW THAT THE DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN LYING,
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT???YOU CAN START BY FORWARDING THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW?
SO THAT THEY WILL KNOW THE TRUTH. AND REMEMBER TO VOTE THIS NOVEMBER FOR THOSE WHO WILL GIVE US THE RIGHT TO DRILL FOR OUR OWN OIL AND NO LONGER LIE TO US SO THAT WE HAVE TO SPEND 7 OR 10 DOLLARS A GALLON IN THE FUTURE OR SUFFER A DEFEAT IF A FUTURE ATTACK STOPS US FROM GETTING FOREIGN OIL! HELP AMERICA BECOME INDEPENDENT AGAIN!

Top 10 reasons to blame Democrats for soaring gasoline pricesThis started out as an attempt to create a light and humorous, Letterman-esque Top 10 list. But the items on the list, and the drain Americans are seeing in their pocketbooks because of Democrats' actions (sometimes inaction) are just too tragic for that.[...]http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/06/top_10_reasons_to_blame_democr_1.html

PCD america, as you call it, I prefer the United States as more specific, will be free of foreign oil when you forget about oil and are creative enough to think of a better answer. Its a dying, declining industry and any good businessman will tell you that is a waste fo money and time.

Liberals have been saying that for, what, 40 years now...I'm not willing to let the economy and my standard of living be destroyed because you don't like oil.

TerryN said...

Liberals decided 40 years ago to outsource our energy supply, and related jobs in the name of environmentalism. Yet shipping crude oil across oceans is far more risky to the environment than producing it locally.

Any time you try to reason against this policy liberals try to change the argument without offering a single option but to spend more on alternative energy research.

The question of what do we do in the mean time always falls on ears with fingers jammed in them.

Ron said...

No game liberals have not been saying that for 40 years. Maybe 30 tops. But you refused to go there so we didn't back then. That would be the conservatives. Its not about not liking oil. I'm a Nascar and auto fanatic. I've grown up around it. So you are throwing out hyperbole again. I said nothing about enviromentalism.

Your standard of living(its all about mememememememe!) and mine is going down regardless .
I posit your standard of living will go down more under your plan than mine. There is a compressed air car coming out in 2010...LESS THAN 2 YEARS. 100mpg. 90 miles an hour and 800 mile range, less than 18000 dollars.
Your lack of ability to counter common sense and good business sense shows you are unwilling to consider anything that doesn't match with your preconcieved ideas. You are going to lose this one so start preparing yourself now.

Big t. spending more money on a sustainable idea that brings more jobs to the US, more patents we can sell and a process that is well on the road of development is not just "any" option. There are more than a "single" option in alternatives. Use your head man(girl?)! I challenge YOU to come up with a single option that doesn't involve drilling or more oil which is an oxymoron because there is less every day. If we are addicted to oil(which even Bush has said), oil is not the answer. It just keeps you sick longer. Any addict can tell you that. It appears you guys don't grasp the concept of common sense.
Why is oil a better idea than alternative sustainable energy we can produce here? FORGET ABOUT OIL!

From Reuters: Oil markets are oversupplied but it would not be wise for any OPEC exporter to tighten the taps given the risk of exacerbating prices, Qatari Oil Minister Abdullah al-Attiyah said on Sunday. "It is not wise today to cut supplies even though there is a surplus because we do not want to create a psychological problem," Attiyah told Reuters. "I'm not in favour of it at all. OPEC's biggest exporter Saudi Arabia has announced plans to hike output to 9.7 million barrels per day (bpd) -- the fastest pace in decades .Attiyah said oil prices were detached from market fundamentals.
"There is no coordination between supplies and the oil price. We believe that the market is not facing any shortage of supplies at the moment. There are some cargoes in floating storage. More crude will not benefit the market.
