Summerfest preview of day one

I'm not going to go through all the bands that are at Summerfest Thursday...but here are the headliners:

Marcus Ampetheatre: Stevie Wonder (you can still get a few tickets in the red section, plenty in the bleachers)
Miller Lite Oasis: Lee Ann Rimes
Briggs backyard: Eric Burdon and the Animals at 6pm...Gnarls Barkley at 11
Harley Stage: Little Big Town
Rock Stage: Nonpoint and Drowning Pool (at 11)
Bingo Pavillion: Cross Canadian Ragweed at 6...Cowboy Mouth at 11
Classic Rock stage: Three Dog Night
US Cellular Stage: They might be Giants

Those are the big ones for Thursday
Feel free to leave comments about the shows as you go and see them.
Question: Is Summerfest better with the new model or the old business model:

Old model: Cheap tix, easy to get in so you have 950000 people in 11 days or
New model: very hard to get a free ticket, more expensive, more music appealing to an older crowd which will only hit around 800000-850000...but they make more money for now...

I understand the money thing, but I also think that people start going when they are young and think it is the hip, cool thing to do. They continue to go multiple days their whole lives.
Now, you might get more money in the short run, but will all these young people keep paying almost 20 bucks a day to get in? If they think summerfest is an old white guy festival will that kill its coolness? Will we lose the next generation of people who want to go to summerfest and spend money?
