You want to talk about "talking points"

This is amazing.
Dems come on here and simply throw out comments that we just say whatever Rush or Hannity says and we can't think for ourselves...

All of a sudden, every single liberal is saying the exact same thing about drilling, EXACT SAME THING

Something like this:
Well, oil companies already have leases for xxx acres of coast line and they are only drilling in xxx. Why do they need more acres to drill???

And you know what...if oil companies have access to viable land that has available oil and are not drilling, that would be wrong.
However, I'd like a few questions answered first:
1. Are there so many lawsuits, protests and regulations that it makes it impossible to drill in some of these places?
2. What is the availability of this oil as opposed to other areas that are "off limits."
3. What evidence is there that drilling destroys the environment (I mean, something a little fresher than 1965).
4. What is the reason oil companies would not want to get all the oil they can and sell it at the insane prices we have right now. The argument that they are not drilling on purpose makes no sense.
5. Why did the Dems sign a letter to the President trying to get Saudi Arabia to produce more oil? Why do Dems think we need more oil, but want us to depend on other countries to get it.

Again, it is insane. We handcuff ourselves in ways that hurt our country. In the history books countries searched the entire Earth looking for resources, we have them and we have morons blocking us from using them

Let's see if any liberal, or anyone for that matter, can answer any of my five points...
I'll wait until some liberal web site or the DNC type up your talking points.

don't know. why did they secure the leases?

2. What is the availability of this oil as opposed to other areas that are "off limits."

don't know. why did they secure the leases? why would it be more or less "available" than leases that apparently were attractive for them to purchase.

3. What evidence is there that drilling destroys the environment (I mean, something a little fresher than 1965).

here you go.

4. What is the reason oil companies would not want to get all the oil they can and sell it at the insane prices we have right now. The argument that they are not drilling on purpose makes no sense.

don't know. ask 'em.

5. Why did the Dems sign a letter to the President trying to get Saudi Arabia to produce more oil? Why do Dems think we need more oil, but want us to depend on other countries to get it.

don't know. what does that have to do with offshore leases not in production?

Well, your answer of "don't know" is probably very consistant with most liberals who found these talking points on some web site or from a sunday talk show and actually have no idea what they are talking about

So you write a post with talking points about the other sides talking points..Bwahahahaha

1. Where are there lawsuits that make it impossible to drill in places where they have leases..or is that a talking point?

2. You imply that the availabilty is less in the leased areas..where and why did they lease them if they didn't forsee a profit..kinda bad business in my book.

3. So easy to look up that I am not going to do your work for you. Use the Google.

4.Cuz it is getting higher everyday and you know what drives price..supply and demand.

5. Cuz dems do stupid things that I don't agree with too.

Game let me ask you a question now.

Why focus money and resources on an aging and depleting resource that lives in the past when those dollars and the effort could be better used to develop new and sustainable resources? Such as John McCains battery idea. This is a national emergency. I understand as a conservative you are slow to change and hang on to the past as long as possible cuz you see it as "safe" but it is no longer safe for many reasons even discounting the enviroment. Move to the future my friend. If we took this on as a national project we could unite the country and build pride among ALL our citizens.
FORGET ABOUT OIL ....PLEASE....PLEASE...PLEASE!

Take this approach. If you do and they know we are serious you will see the speculators sell sell sell. That means the price drops.

Top 10 reasons to blame Democrats for soaring gasoline pricesThis started out as an attempt to create a light and humorous, Letterman-esque Top 10 list. But the items on the list, and the drain Americans are seeing in their pocketbooks because of Democrats' actions (sometimes inaction) are just too tragic for that.[...]http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/06/top_10_reasons_to_blame_democr_1.html
