Wisconsin State Fair Day 2: Friday August 1st

The Main Stage Review:

Queensryche and RATT took the stage last night at the Wisconsin State Fair. RATT played a whole hour and I recognized two songs the entire hour. They could have played 30 minutes and that would have been enough. RATT lead singer hung out back stage and acted as though it was still 1985. He had a cardboard camera, played with it like it was his male member, and told me that he was going to take pictures in the winners circle of the Milwaukee Mile after he was done with his set. It is amazing that these guys still have very attractive women following them around, but they were back there and excited about hanging with the band.
Queensryche came on over 30 minutes late and played about an hour 20. They have hits: Jet City Woman, Just Another Rainy Night, Silent Lucidity, and Empire. They cut the set list short because they had a flight out of Milwaukee around 4am, then after 3 lay-overs they would finally make it to the West Coast. The lead singer still had a great singing voice after 25 years. It was as if they were piping a record into the sound system. (Yes, I said record). The 4100 had fun, some too much fun, but I can't say it was one of the best shows ever at the fair.
