The MainStage Review:
A partial high school reunion show at the Wisconsin State Fair Tuesday night. Once again we had great performers with a ton of talent. Corbin Bleu spend over an hour and a half on his sound check to do a one hour show. He has been doing this for years yet still cares enough to practice with his dancers and perfect his show. It was the first time this fair that I heard performers warm up their voices. They didn't really need to since they were dancing and running around so hard during their show they had voice tracks pumped into the sound system to help with the vocals. Corbin Bleu still appreciates his fans, he even remembered a girl that he met last year and ended up going on carnival rides with. After the show was over a bunch of the performers went to the midway again. Every ride Corbin went on he asked for that girl to go on with him. There were hundreds of fans, important fair people and their kids, but Corbin would only go on rides with this girl. He even recorded a new voice mail message on her phone. A really great guy whom I hope continues to be successful in the future.
Vanessa got off on the wrong foot in my opinion. She had her meet and great at 7pm, during the start of Corbin's show. However, she didn't get to the park until 705 and didn't meet the kids until 735. Some of the kids left the meet and greet to go back into the crowd to watch the show, and the other kids were none too pleased. When she did come out it was a very quick picture and no autographs. I had a much better experience with her mother. A very nice lady who was given present after present from some of the 6800 fans at the show last night. When Vanessa went on stage her talent shined through. Her dance moves were amazing (maybe to sexual for this young crowd) and I have to say that many of the songs sounded great. They were high energy dance songs, but good enough to be on KISS FM.
Both acts had talented dancers, Corbin's seemed to win the backstage vote for being much hotter however.
On a serious note, it was amazing how we had almost 7000 young kids (5-18) and there were absolutely no problems at all. Everytime they got a little out of line, meaning they were not standing exactly where we wanted them, they immediately went back to their seats or spot in line. It is nice to see that some young kids are brought up correctly, unlike concerts we have had in years past that had a different target audience of young kids and we could not get them to listen at all. Overall, a high energy, very entertaining show.

The weather has been so great for the fair yet the crowds are not as good as I expected. Get out there and eat and look your way through the fair.

GAME...It is always reassuring to see young teens who are respectful,
follow directions,and enjoy themselves in a safe and reasonable
fashion...they still are out there,
and its great to see them at the fair..
yeah hanging out with corbin was pretty fun :)
