THE MAINSTAGE REVIEW:
Josh Turner and Pat Green headlined Thursday night at the Wisconsin State Fair. I have to say Pat Green might be the most charismatic and entertaining performers to ever come to the state fair. Both backstage and on, Pat had great one-liners and was in a great mood even though he drove 14 hours to get to the fair. He talked to everyone, joked around with everyone, even though when he plays in Texas he can sell out huge stadiums. Well, I wouldn't call 5100 people a huge crowd, but he didn't care. He treated the crowd as though it was another sold out show at Texas Stadium.
Josh Turner has great songs, but I wouldn't say he is a very exciting performer. I guess you don't really need to run around the stage when you can entertain the crowd with a great voice and meaningful lyrics. He has a wonderful, deep country voice that is quite unique.
STORIES ABOUT THE FAIR:
Went to the fair with my Wife and Son again today. More cream puffs, mac and cheese on a stick, another turkey leg, chocolate milk, cows, sheep, pigs, bunnies, rosters, cheese nuggets and a pork sandwich. Oh, and later that night I went to a great bar, The Safe House, followed by another wonderful fish fry at Johnny V's. The fair was packed, everyone was having a great time, and weather was perfect.
It looks like we will have more of the same today. If you have not done so, why would you not hurry down to the Wisconsin State Fair?
PREVIEW FOR FRIDAY AUGUST 8th
The MainStage: BoyzIIMen with Midnight Star 8pm
