Again, I think my head might explode if I actually break down the huge turd Obama took all over the Oval Office last night, but lets see what others think:

Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann reacted poorly. Olbermann said, "It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days. ... Nothing specific at all was said." Matthews said of Obama's reliance on experts, "This meritocracy has gone too far." Video here, highlights here.

Ambition Evident, But Few Ideas
The Washington Post's Michael Gerson writes, "The main impression left by President Obama’s address on the oil spill is the chasm between the ambition of its commitments and the thinness of its policies. ... The setting of the Oval Office creates an expectation of decisive executive action. ... But someone at the White House is responsible for putting Obama in a dramatic setting with little worth saying." The Atlantic's Josh Green agrees, "this speech was primarily about containing the damage to his administration, and was not the pivot point in the energy debate that many people were hoping for."

Obama said they would broadcast all debate about this on C-SPAN...
Nothing would be done behind closed doors...
So what happened
Either Obama
1. Is a liar
2. Just said whatever sounded good during the election
3. Did not have any clue whatsoever how things work

Its probably about 75% #3 and 25% #2...
I don't think he is a liar..I think he just did not have any clue whatsoever how things work, how to get things done and he was just saying whatever sounded good to get elected.

Here is Obama doing what he always does, not dealing with anything hard..

Someone will say that he is "dealing" with the economic crisis...I hardly think writing trillion dollar checks and bad mouthing the US in the Middle East is doing anything hard...
There are many actual hard decisions to be made right now...
Iran having nuclear weapons soon, freaking pirates holding US captains hostage....
Since Obama hasn't had anyone write down what he is supposed to say about the topic he can't comment on it.
This is what we get for electing someone who couldn't even vote yes or no on issues, someone who simply wants to run his mouth and never actually do anything...
But lets have meetings about shooting pollution into the air to stop global warming...
