Why is this a problem?
Are we really pretending that people in the media are not liberal?
Come on...
They are 85 percent liberals and that is just the way it is...
The problem is that even if they try and be "fair and balanced" it is impossible.
The bias comes in the stories they choose to report, the labels they put on people.
It is the way it is.
Just one example.
Republicans were described as "extreme" a large number of times in the past few weeks on MSNBC..dems, zero.
Just one example..a little late to get into it now.
But I'm really surprised there is a rule that tries to assume these people are going to be operating "down the middle"

The Chris Matthews Show

While working out today I watched (listened to) the Chris Matthews show.
I could not believe how racist and liberally biased this show was.
I always thought Matthews was left, but not in a throw-it-in-your-face way.
Then again, it seems Obama has forced out his true colors.
There was Chris, three liberals and one semi-conservative.
They spent most of the time talking about how great it was that "white" America was now over and we could finally have the multicultural America they have always wanted.
They bashed Bush for being a WASP and representing elite white people, while Obama represented the common man. (the conservative pointed out he is half-white)
Then they talked about what he might have learned from the 4 Presidents he had lunch with.
They bashed the Bush's and praised Carter and Clinton. In fact, when the conservative lady said one negative comment about Clinton Matthews scolded her.
There is no way in hell you could watch this and not think it was slanted.
Matthews is so in love with Obama it is actually embarrassing.

I know liberals, there is no media bias.
I'm sure that media workers everywhere were cheering as Bill Clinton's law license was revoked, or when he was held in contempt of court for lying under oath. Oh wait, that didn't happen. Why? Because just about everyone in the media is a liberal. I'm sorry you don't want to believe in facts, but here is another story of media workers showing their out-right hatred of conservatives.
It is impossible for them to keep it out of their writing, out of the stories they pick to be in the news, out of the labels they give for people.
Just admit it, the media has to have a liberal bias due to the fact that the media is full of liberals.
Do you think this is proper behavior for people who are supposed to be objective and give the citizens of the United States fair and balanced news?

Olbermann Blames Iraq War Spending for Bridge Collapse

Anyone who would even think like that shows a total lack of clear thinking.
There are so many holes in that argument where would one start?
I already talked about the $800 million train MN built instead of fixing bridges. See there is an ACTUAL fact, a reason that bridges are not being fixed, not some far, far, far Left wing moron whose hatred for Bush and conservatives is seen by tens and tens of people every weeknight.
For anyone who can put their hate aside for a minute, it would be clear that the problem is the inability of state government to set priorities.
I know, people like Hash want to blame Bush for everything, which makes comments like that not even worth debating. However, anyone who actually wants to fix and solve problems, call your state government and tell them to stop wasting money on trains that no one rides, or steal the money out of transportation budgets to fund failed liberal social programs.

TV’s Paltry, Left-Leaning Immigration News

You wanted facts to back up the liberal media....here ya go:

Reform vs. Amnesty (the words that are used is filtered in by the bias the writer has...again, maybe not on purpose, but this is the way they think as well as everyone around them)

On 47 occasions, reporters matter-of-factly used the positive adjective "reform" to describe the Senate bill, but only twice did reporters refer to it as "amnesty."

This seems like it is not important, but it is pushing the Democrat agenda my using the terms Dems want used...it does matter

How can the media be fair and balanced?

MSNBC.com identified 144 journalists who made political contributions from 2004 through the start of the 2008 campaign, according to the public records of the Federal Election Commission. Most of the newsroom checkbooks leaned to the left: 125 journalists gave to Democrats and liberal causes. Only 17 gave to Republicans. Two gave to both parties.

The case has already been made, here is more DNA evidence that the media is full of liberals. Even if they try to be balanced their internal bias rings through.

Question During Debate: 'What Do You Dislike Most About America?'

So, Democrats didn't want to participate in a debate hosted by "right wing" FOX news (sorry, but Fox is simply moderate).
If you want to see slanted questioning, look at the first Republican debate hosted by liberal Chris Matthews. It is so clear by looking at these questions that the focus was on liberal talking points, liberal concerns. It boggles the mind to think that Dems are too afraid to debate where there MIGHT atleast be a few actual hard questions, and Republicans have the integrity and courage to jump right into the fire of a liberal debate.

Some "fair and balanced" questions:

"What do you dislike most about America?'"

The "Interactive Rounds" at the Republican presidential debate, from the Ronald Reagan Library in California and carried live on MSNBC, became an opportunity to raise hostile questions from a left-wing agenda or meant to embarrass the candidates (What's the difference between Shia and Sunni?, How many have been killed or injured in Iraq? etc.)

"Bradley Winter of New York would like to know if there's anything you learned, or regret, during your time as Mayor in your dealings with the African-American community?";

"Thousands of reputable scientists have concluded, with almost certainty, that human activity is responsible for the warming of the Earth. Do you believe global warming exists?"

Later, to Tom Tancredo: "Will you work to protect women's rights, as in fair wages and reproductive choice?"

This is amazing. Can you even imagine someone asking a liberal if they are for partial birth abortion, then have the moderator explain in detail what that was.
Or, ask a question like this, "Mr. Obama, it has been proven that gun control laws lead to an increase in violent crime, can you defend your position to take away American's second Ammendment right to protect themselves"
Or
"Are you willing to apologize to the American people for high gas prices, since you voted against drilling in ANWAR and everywhere else in the United States" or "What will you do to lower gas prices"
ect....

Are you seeing the slant yet?

Of course you don't if you are a liberal. I understand. You are so used to things being slanted left that you think that is center, that is moderate. When you see things get close to the center or actually go slightly Right, it seems so strange and out of place. Conservatives, this is not good. It gives a huge advantage to the Democrats. Just think, if they can every produce an actual good candidate, they could win an election. And even with another bad candidate, they get 2% to 3% advantage in voter fraud, and how many points in the liberal media worth? 5%? 6%

The Obama-Romney Media Rundown

Mr. Obama’s aides said that he had credentialed more than 600 media for his announcement in Springfield., Ill., on Saturday, and while campaigns are given to exaggeration, that sure seemed right: They were everywhere, filling platforms and hotel rooms.

Guess who was not here this morning as Mr. Romney made his announcement? There were probably 200 members of the media; no Japanese crews in sight. Mr. Klein, Mr. Matthews and Ms. Dowd could not be spotted.

Is this not media bias? Liberals get very happy in the pants for Obama and need viagra for Romney...

Pelosi, Emanuel, Bayh Fail to Report Charity Roles

One of the highly touted ‘100 hours’ priorities of the Pelosi congress was a sharper focus on ethics among its members. Vowing to "drain the swamp” from the so-called "culture of corruption” during the Republican-controlled Congress, Pelosi’s House on Jan. 4 changed its ethics rules, but did not specifically address the issue of financial disclosure forms, USA Today reports.

This might not be anything, but two points:
1. How would the Dem's act if Republicans were caught "forgetting" to fill out forms properly about salary?
2. How many times do they get to say they "forgot" before they can be called incompetent or simply liars?

Liberal bias in the Duke racism, I mean rape case

I'll try to cut this down, but it is always sooooooo good from Ann:

STRIPPER LIED ... WHITE BOYS FRIED

About a month after members of the Duke lacrosse team were falsely accused of raping a stripper last year, 88 members of the Duke faculty fanned the flames of hysteria by signing a letter announcing that they were "listening" to students "who know themselves to be objects of racism and sexism."
Maybe they should have been listening to the accused, several of whom had iron-clad alibis. Now the professors are going to need a new example of "racism and sexism" at Duke since their case in chief has turned out to be a fraud.
In lieu of a gang rape perpetrated by high-stepping white male athletes against a poor black woman, the Duke lacrosse case has turned out to be another in a long string of hoax hate crimes in which whites are falsely accused.
The lacrosse players denied that any rape had occurred and immediately submitted their DNA to the state, confident that the DNA would prove them innocent.
It did: Not a trace of DNA from any of the lacrosse players was found on the accuser, though this girl had more DNA in her than a refrigerator at a fertility clinic.
This is the second time this woman has accused a group of men of gang-raping her. One more time and it's officially considered a hobby.
Duke English professor Cathy N. Davidson recently wrote an opinion piece defending her signing of the "listening" letter, noting that it was "not addressed to the police investigation," but rather "focused on racial and gender attitudes all too evident" after the alleged rape. She explained that the letter had merely "decried prejudice and inequality in the society at large."
If poor black women are constantly being raped by rich white men, then how about they produce one case?
If anything, our awareness of the "power dynamics of the situation" is too high. What we need is a little of that skepticism liberals bring to every single criminal case that is not a white-on-black crime or a rape case involving Bill Clinton.
The truth, as opposed to the larger truth, is that the allegedly powerful white males are at risk of losing their freedom at the hands of a lunatic accuser and a power-mad prosecutor. Meanwhile the allegedly powerless poor black woman has destroyed people's lives with her false accusations, for which she will walk away scot-free.
Don't liberals ever have to pony up at least one example of a powerful privileged white male trampling on the rights of a powerless black woman in order to keep droning on about powerful privileged white males? Every real-life example invariably turns out to be a hoax, among the most spectacular the Tawana Brawley case and now the Duke lacrosse case.
Liberal professors believe that crying wolf is valuable for calling attention to the societal problem of wolves, even though there's never a wolf in any particular case. Evidently, awareness of an alleged societal ill — of which we have no actual examples — is worth ruining the lives of three innocent people. After all, they're just powerful white men. At the next White Males of Privilege meeting, someone ought to bring up how they can use their vast power to win the right not to be put on trial for crimes they didn't commit.
