This is the mentality of some in our society...
When things are not "fair" (read "exactly the same") you have to bring down those who are doing a good job or have something working well and bring them down to a lower level...its never the other way around...

Just thought a few things this afternoon...please answer these questions liberals:

1. Is what Obama is doing in Afghanistan a surge? You spent all your time bashing Bush for whatever he did, but he clearly was successful in Iraq and it was based on his idea to have a surge of military in Iraq...so what would you say Obama is doing right now? Go ahead and support him, just admit you were wrong before or admit you really have no thought or value system and that all your decisions are based on bashing Republicans..

2. What happened to all the predictions algore made about global warming? Earth temp has not gone up since 2001. Miama and Hawaii have not been covered by water yet, hurricane activity has gone down. When are you going to admit you were wrong on that one?

3. Cap and tax: If you truly believe that we are destroying the planet why do you support this? Is the US the ONLY place there is pollution? If we chase business out of the US to China, do you think business will be more or less clean there? or in Central America? or India?

'Extreme Makeover' homeowner may lose prize

This seems to make a few points about different philosophies in regards to helping others.

This is atleast the third story I have read about people getting houses from this show losing them due to continued bad decision making.

Extreme makeover uses the liberal philosophy of throwing money at the problem instead of fixing the problem.
If they really wanted to help they would make the families take classes on things like parenting, finance, job skills, ect...

We are really good at throwing money at a problem, without solving anything

And yes, some Republicans are following along as well...but they are not conservatives..

Race gap found in pothole patching

I'll be honest...I didn't read the story...
But I do know city workers and this is a perfect time to dispel liberal race card crap and let you know some facts.
Why does more work get done in non-minority neighborhoods, because the people in the minority neighborhoods mess with the workers. They steal their stuff, they harass them, they drive through their work zones....period fact.
And if you don't have a black guy in your crew on the north side you don't get anything done.
I just talked to a guy who said the people in the neighborhood kept stealing the cones that blocked off their work area, so every time they came back to the site, it was if they had to start over. Many of the best workers don't want to work in those areas, they would rather get work done on the South side.
There is some fact for you.
Maybe that is in this article, but probably not.
Most likely some liberal race card crap that is, once again, untrue.

I would really be embarrassed and ashamed to have so many people who act and sound as ridiculous as these people on my side. I'm glad to see McCain compared to Hitler and Obama compared to Ghandi...makes the average American see how completely stupid the thought process is for people who support Obama and other Dems...

Obama's 'emergency' economic plan

Obama's plan is basically to tax oil companies and give it to you...or socialism for short.

Obama announced his plan for a windfall profits tax on oil companies on June 9 in Raleigh, N.C., as he launched a two-week economic tour after clinching the Democratic nomination.

It is amazing how people do not understand economics. Oil companies and drug companies are in the same boat. They spend millions and even billions on research to either make new drugs, or find new ways to drill.

Why would ANYONE risk the money if they are not allowed to collect when that pill or that new technology works out. You get companies now willing to take the risk when the reward is taken away.

And govt still make way more on a gallon of gas than the oil companies.
Blame big govt and big liberalism for high gas prices.

Colleges caught stacking publicity photos with minorities

A new report from the online magazine Inside Higher Ed reveals that a researcher has caught universities loading their publicity photographs with black students.
"Sometimes you see the same black kid in every picture," said George Dehne, who runs an admissions consulting firm and was quoted in the online report.

I know UWM got caught taking out white students and adding minorities to pictures...
Why?
Because liberals only want it to LOOK like they are diverse...
They can never come up with any plan to actually become diverse, because simply letting in more minorities even though they do not have the academic skills to be in college only puts more on the list freshman year, then they are gone...much of the time they quit way before the end of the first semester.
The correct plan would be to make sure they actually HAVE the skills to succeed.
It's just like every other failed liberal program.
Let's just GIVE them money instead of getting them to try and earn their own money
Let's lower the definition of what a truant student is so we have less truant students
The list can go on and on...

This story is a great example of how we have gone from oppressing minority groups to pandering to them and it is the majority's rights that are always trampled.

Think of an instance when a small group of people forced the vast majority to change their behavior.

My example is Christmas. There are cases were as few as one or two parents complain about a Christmas play or party, so an entire school of kids who do want the play or party are punished.

The stereotypes are true for a reason

I have said that liberals tax you to high heaven, and break us up into groups:
rich vs poor
young vs old
black vs white

Well, Obama covered three of my four stereotypes in about two sentences:
Bush proposed a Social Security plan in 2005 that focused on creating private accounts for younger workers....Obama said McCain would push to raise the retirement age for collecting Social Security benefits or trim annual cost-of-living increases. Obama has rejected both ideas as solutions to the funding crisis projected for Social Security in favor of making higher-income workers pay more into the system.

Okay...Obama is saying young people are trying to steal old people's money and ruin their social security....old vs young

And it should be those rich people that pay more taxes to fix the problem:
tax the crap out of us cause that is the only way liberals know how to solve problems and rich vs poor...

He had women "beneath the office" table....but that is fine...
However, she shows her PC liberalism once again. Bush had his best speech in years, it was 100% perfect and true, but here come the liberals trying to silence, trying to take away anyone's right to a thought, an opinion or free speech if they DARE say anything that might seem like it might be directed at Obama.
Just remember Americans, by saying this Pelosi is basically agreeing with Obama that talking to terrorist and trying to be their friend is a good thing...but staying in the middle east and fighting terrorist on their own turf, and not on our is a BAD thing.

Look at the things that are negatives in our lives that can be directly attributed to liberal thought:
1. Our gas prices are out of control since we can not drill anywhere, can't build and nuclear plants or refineries
2. Food is becoming so expensive that the entire world might bust out into a riot. This is because of stupid people who take our food and make it into a greater polluting, more expensive oil....SOME republicans are to blame as well.

Look at the things liberals blame conservatives for:
1. global warming: a fictional theory that can't possibly be proven for 100 years...they get to take the high ground on something that can't be proven.
2. The war against terror: Again, they have theories on what the world would be like if we didn't start this war on terror, but their solution is to run away and lose....

Which side would you rather have?
I'll take being safe, having cheaper gas and cheaper food...

This is why some conservatives hate McCain.
Even though other areas were hit worse, New Orleans is the area that was completely in chaos.
Instead of the people directly in charge taking responsibility...instead of looking at why the people that lived there didn't/couldn't get out, lets just blame the federal government.
People have NO responsibility for their actions...that is the liberals position, it is not supposed to be the Republican position.
No blame for the completely, 100% incompetent liberals running that city and state, no no, just blame GWB.
It is this thinking, and this public speech that gives more and more people the idea that they are not responsible for anything in their lives....it all rests on the federal government. Government should take care of all of societies problems.
While there is a clear role for government, the way too many people think nowadays causes more and more people to live in learned helplessness.
The country did much better when most people thought that THEY made the country great, not the politicians.
