'Extreme Makeover' homeowner may lose prize

This seems to make a few points about different philosophies in regards to helping others.

This is atleast the third story I have read about people getting houses from this show losing them due to continued bad decision making.

Extreme makeover uses the liberal philosophy of throwing money at the problem instead of fixing the problem.
If they really wanted to help they would make the families take classes on things like parenting, finance, job skills, ect...

We are really good at throwing money at a problem, without solving anything

And yes, some Republicans are following along as well...but they are not conservatives..

this happened recently to a disabled family rather near to me, they really almost did lose the house because of the following evaluation

you can imagine the tax rates we pay in this region

they received much help from the community, their house of worship, etc., and i was glad, because they are good people

"And yes, some Republicans are following along as well...but they are not conservatives.."

ridiculous statement, because there ARE no "conservatives" anymore, the remnant of those who self-identify as such still exist, but the "movement" itself has ceased to be, and they are going through the same fundamental shifts in thinking and reevaluation of values and policies as everyone else

I am curious as to your description of a conservative hash..and what do you think they will become? Where are the divisions and changes? Just curious to pick your brain.
