People saying that the media does not have a left wing bias is like someone looking up at the sky, saying it is blue and then having someone else say, "No, it is purple." How can you argue that? I will just give a few examples of how the media slants the news...It is mostly by what stories they decide to cover...
the Media Research center found that in 1990, when George Bush was president, there were 71 homeless stories on the ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN evening news casts. But in 1995 when Bill Clinton was in the White House, the number had gone down to just 9. I guess Bill Clinton cured homelessness.
This next point might seem like a stretch, but it doe matter. The way the media labels people and organizations matters. For example, Harry Smith, former cohost of CBS This Morning introduced a segment on sexual harrassment saying: "...Has anything really changed? Just ahead we're going to ask noted law professor ahtarine MacKinnon and conservative spokeswoman Phyllis Schalafly to talk about that.
It sounds innocent enough, but why is it that Phyllis Schlafly was identified as a conservative, but Catherine MacKinnon wa not identified as a radical feminist or a few-left wing law professor?
Robert Bork is a "conservative" judge, but Laurence Tribe, is identified simply as a Harvard law professor. He's easily as liberal as Bork is conservative.
Rush Limbaugh is a conservative talk show host, but Rosie O'Donnell, is not a liberal talk show host.
In September 1995, after a Hurricane in the Virgin Islands, CBS news went to cover the story. Raylena Fields complained to the others that all the looters were black. She was told that 95% of the people living there and 95% of the looters were black. She made the crew go around the island until they found footage of whites looting.
Another time CBS was doing a story about a chain gang in Alabama. The footage had all black men once again. The producer asked about this and the reporter stated that every single man in the chain gang was black. The producers said, "We better be more careful next time."
The problem is that almost all media people are liberal so they think whatever they believe and 90% of the people they work with is the norm. They do not even understand that half of the country does not think the way they do. Therefore, they cover stories in their point of view. Editors pick stories they think are interesting, they PC the media stories up, even though in doing so they are hiding the truth. That is just a small idea of how the media is biased.

That's why I love FOX News. They introduce their guests by their professions and titles and let us decide where their views are aligned.
I don't think the media is all about politics though. I think there is a healthy and concerted effort by our media to move our culture in a more progressive direction. The true america based on tradition and religion does not appeal to the counter-culture. They want the freedom to do whatever they want whenever they want and in order to get that they will make us feel guilty about being who we are.
What is hilarious is how the media tries to convince us that the Democrats are the compassionate party, and the ones that help minorities the most. check the following site out for surprising facts:

Mark, is that web site a joke???
It is true that liberals only say they care about minorities, and then it is Republican presidents who ACTUALLY put minorities into positions of power..
But it doesn't matter what people DO, it maters what the American people THINK they do, and what the media HELPS them think..
Average Joe, you make a good point when you say it is the media who is trying ot make us feel guilty about who we are..
The dems know what is best, and all the dumb hicks who are all racist and stupid should just listen to what libs and the New York Times says...
