I have some inside information that you will not read ANYWHERE else...
Wisconsin Republicans have just sent Governor Doyle a letter asking him to grant a "tax holiday" on the gas tax until the end of the year...
They are only talking about 15 cents a gallon...lets see what Governor Doyle's answer is...look for it in the papers Friday or maybe as late as Monday...
What do you think he will say?

I don't know if you saw it, but Taxachussetts (Mass) just had a tax holiday..........
They broke all the records for sales......It was truly a Christmas in July Sale.
Just goes to show, if we'd take the handcuffs (taxes) off the economy it would be allowed to function at it's highest levels.

Thx for the link over here.....I'll check ya out regularly.
I hope you'll all do likewise.
Point number one...Wisconsin has one of the highest gas taxes in the country...I think its like 55 cents a gallon...maybe more...
Point B: Doyle will say, "The money generated by the gas tax has already been earmarked for certain projects...this is another attempt by the Republicans to take money away from old people and children and put it in the wallets of their rich friends."
.30 to .35 for the total tax? or just what Republicans want to cut for the rest of the year?
Mark Belling opened up his show to this topic...49 cents for tax per gallon...20 cents goes to Washington...Republicans want to cut our share by 15 cents....but the cost is $180 million dollars...Doyle has said no already
Republicans had to know what Doyle would say.
I think they just wanted to force him to reject their proposal to highlight the fact that he's a pro-tax lib.
