Looters take advantage now as they have their whole lives

The scum of the earth is being washed up from Hurricane Katrina. People are looting stores and homes, taking whatever they can find...

This is not a case where people are taking food and water...I don't see why these people need to take jewels, shoes, jerseys and anything else they can steal.

There is no doubt these people are sub-human, have no regard for anyone but themselves...these kinds of people are what is wrong with this world...

Katrina evacuees get news that looters struck their home "It's horrible. It's just horrible that somebody would actually break into your house when you are trying to get your family to safety," said evacuee Lisa Allen.

Authorities Helpless Against Katrina Looters New Orleans' homeland security chief, Terry Ebbert, said looters were breaking into stores all over town and stealing guns. He said there are gangs of armed men moving around the city. At one point, officers stranded on the roof of a hotel were fired at by criminals on the street.
The Times-Picayune newspaper reported that the gun section at a new Wal-Mart had been cleaned out by looters.
Authorities said an officer was shot in the head and a looter was wounded in a shootout. The officer was expected to survive.
Staff members at Children's Hospital huddled with sick youngsters and waited in vain for help to arrive as looters tried to break through the locked door, Blanco spokeswoman Denise Bottcher told the newspaper. Neither the police nor the National Guard arrived. People...sorry...ANIMALS who try and loot a childrens hospital should be shot on site...PERIOD.

Looters thrive after Katrina leaves On New Orleans' Canal Street, dozens of looters ripped open the steel gates on clothing and jewelry stores and grabbed merchandise.
"People are just casually walking in and filling up garbage bags and walking off like they're Santa Claus," said Marty Desei, owner of a Super 8 motel in Biloxi. These are people that can not function in a human society...and I can easily bet they they have not for many years...but lets keep giving these people everything for free...their whole lives have been looting of tax-payer pockets...so why should they stop there.

Looters help themselves in New Orleans One man, who had about 10 pairs of jeans draped over his left arm, was asked if he was salvaging things from his store.
"No," the man shouted, "that's EVERYBODY'S store."
"To be honest with you, people who are oppressed all their lives, man, it's an opportunity to get back at society," he said
This country has allowed these people to live for free for their whole lives...this is the type of person your money goes to every pay check...
No regard for human life, no regard for suffering, for society, or their fellow man....just looking for the next hand-out...the next way to get something for nothing...then saying how "oppressed" they are....

I have heard that the government in New Orleans has been terrible for many years...people think they can do whatever they want...so when the little bit of enforcement that was there is gone...the savages do whatever they want.

Scorpion says--
Are you really surprised at what is going on? Not really. There will be no arrests no prosecution. The rebuilding of the area will excuse all people that helped themselves. Still, gas in Wisconsin will never see the number "2" in front ever again. Talk about being looted! I remember gas at 23.9 and they had to have gas wars to lower the high prices. NO ONE stole or drove off because of the high price of 23.9!

Hi,

On a completely unrelated-to-Katrina topic, I wanted to let you know that you you won the MKE Blog of the Week poll, eeking by Wisconsin at War and solidly beating the others. Congratulations!

well, if these people were not looting TV's and guns...and helping the effort instead of hurting it, maybe things would be just a little bit better...
