WHO CARES?!?!?

Yes, Katrina was a big storm, yes, Rita is a big storm, but the inundation is driving me crazy. I watched a flipped over garbage can get blown around for five minutes while listening to a meteorologist talk about warm water…blah…blah…blah. Keep the local weather forecast where it belongs, on the local news. This wouldn’t be nearly as annoying if the biggest story of our lives wasn’t occurring in a Washington D.C. conference room.

ABLE DANGER

Yes, the Able Danger hearings started today and finally we are seeing the bureaucrats scurrying for cover. The woman who set up the meetings between Able Danger and the FBI has been prevented from testifying by the Department of Defense. The brave Colonel who stepped up and dared to share the truth has been denied his security clearance and has been withdrawn from testifying by the Department of Defense.

What is the Department of Defense covering up?

Here is the background: some fantastic Generals in the Department of Defense set up a terrorist Special Forces group that was tasked with discovering terrorism on U.S. soil. The group quickly discovered Mohammed Atta the man who would later lead the 9/11 terrorists to their dastardly deeds. The information on Atta and the terrorist cell he was operating in New York was well documented and consumed over 2.5 terabytes of hard drive space (as much as the Library of Congress). When the group, called Able Danger, wanted to share their information with the FBI they were denied access by lawyers in the Department of Defense. Not only were they denied access they were instructed to delete all the files on the cell and cover up any and all information about their research.

This was in 1999 and 2000 a full year before the events of 9/11 and during the tenure of Bill Clinton. Thousands of people died because the lawyers didn’t feel it was appropriate to share information.

Thank God daily for Senator Kurt Weldon who has taken the point on Able Danger and is seeking answers to our burning questions. While the Department of Defense tries to cover up this complete failure in government Weldon is calling them to the carpet. You heard it here first folks, just watch how the major media pounces all over this tomorrow and into perpetuity.

Write to your congressman/woman immediately and request that they participate in this investigation into the biggest scandal in American history. Ask for the names of those accountable and ask that each and every Representative and Senator insures this kind of failure never happens again.

Billy Clinton was more worried about his popularity at home AND abroad AND with 'broads', then he was about looking out for the future of the USA. Billy was a 2 faced, double talking, sorry excuse for a leader. Fact is all Billy cared about was his popularity.....therefore the reason he wanted ANY and ALL bad news covered up, instead of being proactive and doing something about them when the time was right. Billy was smart in that way.....he didn't want anything negative associated with his terms as President. It's politicking to the highest degree. He was just a smooth talker, that lots of citizens were duped by, especially women. I always thought he was a repulsive, disgusting POS, and still do. Just hearing his voice is enough to make me puke. I grieved the entire 8 years he was President. Especially when he was elected for his second term....all I could think of was that we live in a nation of idiots....they fell for his BS.

Able Danger is the real Category Storm........And will have much longer lasting effect than anything coming from the Atlantic.

Is anyone surprised that neither party wants to touch it? I'm not.

1. The (D)' know Bubba screwed this up.
2. The (R)'s don't know how to go on the offensive.

Try to imagine if the tables were turned........There'd be some serious Hell being raised by the (D)' against the (R)'s.

Lucky for the Democrats, the Republicans don't know how to function as the majority party.

republicans are scared of the main stream media...that is the problem...but if you look at the General in New Orleans telling reporters they are "stuck on stupid"...he is being embrassed by millions.

When will Republicans see that people will respect them more and get behind them if they grow a backbone and tell the truth

I have said time and again that I am starting to see a divide among conservatives and the Republican party. The base, this base, the majority of Americans, believe in conservative values. Keep God where he belongs...in schools and in the home. Keep babies how they should be...alive. Keep the illegal immigrants out, and for God Sakes PROTECT THIS COUNTRY!!! I only hope the Republican party steps up to fight for this country on the issue of Able Danger like so many conservatives desire.

Poison,

The ABLE DANGER information was covered up by the Pentagon. There is no evidence that Clinton or Richard Clarke ever heard about it.

However it IS known that Lieutenant-Colonel Anthony Shaffer, who brought the ABLE DANGER project to light, presented his information to Philip Zelikow who was a member of the 2001 Bush transition team and was instrumental in, or at least had knowledge of, the disbanding of ABLE DANGER in February 2001.

Amazingly, Zelikow became executive director of the 9/11 commission and as such was responsible for calling witnesses, setting the focus, and writing the final report. And it was Zelikow who was responsible for leaving out any mention of ABLE DANGER and its findings from the 9/11 report, saying that it "was not historically relevant."

So who is covering this up? Looks like a Republican and former member of the Bush team.

whomever is covering it up should be beating about the face..

however, pointing out that Clinton thought everything was a court trial screwed us in many ways..
able danger and not taking osama are two pretty big ones...

So....if the information is prevented from reaching the 9/11 commission years after the terrorist attacks took place I shold blame the current president?!?! Quit reaching!!! The policies of not sharing information that led to the attacks were bred in the Clinton Administration. A bunch of loser politicians trying to cover their asses now has nothing to do with the policies of the past.
