Are some people just better than others?

Can we just admit that some people are better than other people?
Some people are heros; some are slime.
Some think about others first; some think only about themselves and what they can get for free.
Some make society better; some make it worse.

Lets compare how people reacted to trajedy during Katrina, and September 11th.

Video of police looting

Hero's during 9-11

Part of the problem is that we tolerate the behavior of people's behavior. Why isn't there a public outcry for the police who looted and left their jobs to be fired and put in jail? There is no desire for personal responsibility and greatness anymore.

There has been, but nobody is speaking out to the major media centers about it. Too much desire to cover it up.

Game,
I have really enjoyed reading your blogs, you have some really great comments, and I share many of your views. I found your site while browsing Espella's. Glad to see I am not the only high school teacher on here that is RIGHT. I have seen more than enough lefties. Anyway, best wishes!

You hit it right on the head:

There is a lack of personal responsibility!!!

It all starts in the home, and too many parents either execute their kids (pre and post-term), abandon their kids, or stay with them but don't act as adults........We have seen almost 50 years of unbelievably bad parenting.

Just look at how f'd up this country has been since the 60's.....All those kids have had kids, and the cycle keeps on going.

If personal responsibility were the norm this would all stop.......But we are nowhere near that point.

And you know it's all Dubya's fault anyway.........His and Haliburton's that is.

Thanks for checking out my blog. I am a high school English teacher in Oklahoma. (Please do not use that against me if you catch errors in most post, most times, I am "off duty" when I blog!) Right now I am working as a floater-fancy words for sub) between two schools here. I like the variety it gives me, but I am more than ready to have my own classroom and get some tenure. I just graduated this past year. So, that's me! What do you teach?

HA! There is an error in my comment. Ok, it's early. That's my story and I am sticking to it!
