There you go again with your right wing Clinton death machine! Wonder why scooter has to walk on crutches now? :-)How come you are suddenly so dismissive about the law? You know it has been pointed out to you here that their are different implication and degrees of damage from a lie but I am convinced that you don't want to get it. You want to pretend politics is the Packers against the Bears. Its not! It's about the survival of America. We are all in this together wheather you like it or not.

I said that Libby is wrong, but I can say that because I said Clinton was wrong...I am consistent...if you are going to attack Libby than I hope you were asking for Clinton to resign or go to jail since they did the same thing...

That is my point...how hypocritical the Left is...I don't see anyone DEFENDING Libby on the right...I am not.

It’s an exercise in intellectual honesty...I have it, the right has it...the Left does not.

I've never heard such a load of horse manure in my life. (Well yes I have heard this before) The death list is a bunch of malarky.

How many people were ruined by George Bush's good buddy Ken Lay? Ruined!

Number of American deaths due to cherry-picking intelligence to support the case for war: 2,000 and counting.

With all this evil and corruption that Clinton is supposedly a party to, how come the only thing they were ever able to get him on was perjury in a civil sexual harassment suit?

Clinton wasn't impeached strictly on grounds of personal malfeasance? No, he was impeached on grounds of perjury.

You and your friends rant, rant, rant about "Bush bashing" and "Bush haters" when people legitimately criticize Bush's policies and actions. But you rarely criticize Clinton for his policies. It's always personal, because while the left hates Bush's policies, you all just plain hated Bubba.

Bubba left office with a poverty rate almost 4 points lower than Bush 41 and a point lower than Bush 43 at the end of 4 years. Clinton left office with a budget surplus which has now been dicimated by tax cuts to the rich, a questionable war, give-aways to the pharmaceutical and oil companies, and pork, pork, and more pork. Clinton's stong environmental policies have been reversed by the Bush administration such that your children are breathing and drinking more and more crap and will be for years and years.

Yes, Clinton could have done more to fight terrorism, but he did a lot. Bush and company did absolutely ZERO about terrorism until 9/11 even though the Clinton adminstration warned them that terrorism was the greatest risk they would face.

But the Clinton team said it, so the Bush administration wasn't going to have anything to do with it. And they and the country paid the price.

This may be the worst presidency of ALL TIME, and it's not because of semen on a dress.

There! I've said it. Come get me. :-)

Jim, just what exactly did Clinton "do" about terrorism? half a dozen cruise missiles doesn't ammount to "doing" much...

And about that paranoia of 9/11 having anything to do with the Bush administration... you do know it was in planning for years beforehand, right? ie BEFORE Bush got elected... I know you don't like Bush, but come let's be logical for a minute here. Osama doesn't hate Bush, he hates America...that's you too. Terrorists are evil twisted scum, but they aren't stupid. They're playing the media like a well tuned fiddle. Need proof? how many times does CNN run and re-run every tape released by terrorists? the best way to shut these people down is to shut them up...and our media is in lockstep with Al Jezzera, all because they're willing to sell out their country to make a president look bad. Including passing along Osama's direct threat to states who vote for Kerry... he's paying as much if not more attention to politics in this country than you are, and he's no idiot...

By the way, Game, I'd like to know the source of that data if you have it...I'm no research super power, but whoever compiled this list is, and I'd like to find out if they're credible, which points are true and which if any are stretching a little

Bravo Jim!

Mike, there was an entire book written about Clinton and what he was doing and thinking about as far as terrorism went. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of it now. Regardless just because you didn't hear about it in the liberal media or on Rush doesn't mean he wasn't involved.

I blame us all for 9/11 and expect us all, as hard as it may be, to come up with a solution. They politicians aren't going to do it. They are waiting for you to tell them what to do.

Mike,

I did not say or imply that Osama had it in for Bush. The attacks of 9/11 had nothing to do with him personally, and everybody knows it. Don't pull the Republic trick of attributing ludicrous statements to me and them refuting them as if I'M the idiot.

Richard Clarke served four presidents in counter terrorism. Read his book for what Bush and especially Gore did to fight terrorism. They didn't succeed, and they could have done more, but the record is clear that the Bush administration did virtually nothing to fight terrorism prior to 9/11.

If you want to know where the Clinton "statistics" came from, read "The Hunting of the President" by Consason and "Blinded by the Right" by David Brock. You'll learn about the campaign by Richard Mellon Scaife to discredit Clinton and make his presidency ineffective.

It's not CNN as dupes of Al Qaeda. It's FOX News as dupes of the adminstration. Everytime the Kerry campaign made gains against Bush, a new Osama tape or terrorist tape would mysteriously appear on Fox News to remind O'Reilly's "folks" how they needed George W. Bush's strong and unwavering leadership. Unfortunately, that "leadership" has proven time after time to be incompetent and worse, dangerous to Americans today and years into the future.

Jim, I stand corrected, you're right, you never said Osama attacked us because of Bush. That's not quite what I meant to imply, but I did mis-read what you wrote...I really should stop trying to think after midnight. my error.

Along the same lines though, what would you have had the Bush Admin "do" exactly? Terrorism isn't an easy thing to respond to, since there's no one country or easily identifiable enemy. 9/11 was the proverbial sack of bricks that broke the camel's back and kicked us into action.

The Clinton adminstration had set up a task force specifically to combat terrorism. They were investigating the money trail of terrorist supporters. They were tracking Osama. They were putting money into intelligence operations and supporting the anti-taliban groups in Afghanistan.

The Bush adminstration ignored the warnings of Clarke and Tenet, ignored the pleas of the intelligence agency for more resources, refused to convene any high-level meetings on terrorism, and ignored the August 6th Presidential Daily Briefing.
