Can someone explain why this is even happening?
Libby will probably be charged with lying during the invesigation...which would mean this whole thing was a bunch of crap. No one will be charged with leaking Plame's name.
Why is this a story? All Plame's neighbors understood that she was an "undercover" agent...I guess she was very undercover in her office building.
This is another case of liberals being mad they can not win any elections based on ideas, they are simply making up crap, throwing it up against the wall and hoping is sticks....

Do you read any newspapers or watch any television news? I've seen interviews and read interviews of neighbors who said they didn't know she was a CIA agent. They knew her as a consultant of some sort. Or can you provide a citation of a quote or testimony of a neighbor who said they knew Plame was a covert agent?
What you don't seem to understand is that this case has nothing to do with Democrats vs. Republics. There is no Democratic investigation of this case. This case is being conducted at the request of the CIA by the JUSTICE DEPARTMENT which is responsible to a Republican president.
What this case is about is the CIA vs the White House Iraq Group. When WMDs were not found in Iraq, the White House blamed the CIA for faulty intelligence. The CIA, refusing to be embarrassed by the so-called "intelligence failure" said that the White House used only the shakiest information that supported the WHIG's case.
So in the end it's all about CIA vs WHIG.
There is some truth to that..the CIA wants to cover up looking like they fucked up
Actually the CIA is pissed about taking the blame(except that medal of freedom) for the WHIGs wacky twisting of the intelligence provided.
