And we want to try and "understand" the enemy?

A suicide attacker steered a car packed with explosives toward U.S. soldiers giving away toys to children outside a hospital in central Iraq on Thursday, killing at least 31 people. Almost all of the victims were women and children, police said.

Liberals want to sit down and talk to these people? They want to find out why they are so mad?
They blow up their own people...
They blow up women and children getting toys for Christmas...
They can not be reasoned with...

This is the flawed was of thinking by the Left, and that is why we need to keep Republicans in power.

so you tell me game, how do we get the bad guys without a giant global conflagration and being either the catalyst or cause of many thousands of innocent deaths? I want to get the bad guys too but the way we are doing it isn't working at allllll. In fact it is working in reverse. A wise person once told me if you want to get out of the hole quit digging!!!!

Understanding the enemy as in "know thyne enemy" an expression that has been around and survived for many centuries...but you all are so much smarter now we can just throw that out. No need to worry..just bomb'em to the stone age.
This is why I have such a hard time coming here. The only answer you guys seem to have is the most simplistic, most horrific one..

by the way, no doubt you will keep the republicans in power...remember those on the left of center are so stupid they couldn't win anything. All those things you've mentioned in the past that you ended by saying this is why the left will continue to lose. no problem..you guys are a lead pipe sinch..I know for sure cuz you told me so.

and by the way..what if we weren't there and the iraqis had to fight other arabs for their homeland. Think they are going to roll right over..think it will make the facists more popular to kill their own people? Time to take the training wheels off...which you will be agreeing with in the next month or two when dear leader and rush and sean give you permission to say so.

Well Ron,
You speak as though you are so intellectual, so much above us, which is how all liberals talk...

Whichever arab leader can gain control of Iraq and take down something the west created will be glorified forever...

people who hate freedom hate us being there...they are afraid...the only thing that gives them comfort is going to CNN or listening to most liberal politicians

Ron, we do know the enemy, many people have spent thousands of hours understanding exactly what we're up against and what's at stake.

What Game is complaining about here, is the people that, when Osama himself was in some sniper's crosshairs, would say "wait, we have to understand him in order to defeat him". - I.E. trying to prevent the killing blow and replacing it with some feel good "peaceful" show of weakness and submission... Most self-titled liberals will tell you this isn't the case, but there is one reality they can't avoid or explain away, no matter how noble liberals' intentions are: That the terrorists themselves view appeasement as weakness and invitation to further aggression.

neither one of you have given me any answers or alternatives...by the way, there are most likely many more intelligent than I. I never went past 12th grade. I am an old guy thought that has been through lots of life and seen different circumstances come and go and met many kinds of people in many parts of the country. Common sense me thinks, is is often in question.
Do you think "most" arabs are against freedom? if not how do you propose they will take over...like the weakly but superbly powerful juggernaut "liberal media" has taken over?

Most arabs have been under dictor rule for so long, they just accept it....

We are doing what is right to bring freedom and safety to the world...

Mike is right, they see our liberals and media as weak and that gives them hope...wish you wouldn't have used the word "complain" do describe what I said, but...

we certainly aren't increasing safety for anyone and if the iraqis dont want freedom we cant force it on them..they will do as they wish.Us sticking around doesnt change that. ...I'm not talking about appeasing the enemy..I'm talking about a plan that works!
