Which side is out of the mainstream?

Democrats and the MSM like to say Republican's are far right quacks...they don't represent the mainstream of America...they only win when they cheat and lie..

Well, consider these issues in Wisconsin alone, and decide which side is not in the mainstream:
1. Republicans keep trying to pass a voter ID bill, Democrats keep blocking it. A vast majority of people want a voter ID bill passed....
Mainstream: Republicans 1 Democrats 0

2. Republicans keep trying to pass a tax payer bill of rights and a property tax freeze. Just about everyone in the state likes this bill, but Dem's keep blocking this as well....
Republicans 2 Democrats 0

3. Republicans keep trying to pass a concealed carry law. Support is not up near 85% like it is for the first two topics, but it is clearly in the 60% range. Dem's keep blocking it.
Republicans 3 Democrats 0

4. Republicans want to make it official that marriage is between a man and a woman. Again, a vast majority of people from Wisconsin and America think this is a good and just thing....blocked by Dem's.
Republicans 4 Democrats 0

So which party is in the mainstream...which party represents the values of the people? If it wasn't for the MSM people would understand this. It is sad that many people do not realize how far to the left the Democrats are.

I think you are right about much of this but keep in mind....

The reality is:

A majority in this country wants abortion to be safe and legal.
A majority in this country believes if Bush lied about the reasons for war in Iraq, he should be impeached.
A majority of Americans believes that the ethical standards of the White House have declined since Bush took office.
A majority of Americans believes the country is headed in the wrong direction.
A majority of us believes Bush's priorities (SS privatization anyone?) are wrong for this country.
A majority of citizens believes the war in Iraq is not worth fighting.
Most Americans believe Bush is doing a losy job.
A majority of Americans think that the Bush legacy will be that of failure.

On each issue Ron...(and thanks for being the only one to talk about this topic...I think it is very interesting)...

abortion seems to be split, neither side can claim a clear majority unless you want to talk about late term abortion, then the Right wins that one...

Bush didn't LIE, what he said might have been WRONG, there is a difference...

American people are fooled by all the false charges brought against conservatives, how many have resulted in convictions?

the next four points swing back and forth with the wind...but it is true they have been swinging in the negative direction for Bush for too long...

I think you did agree that with my issues, the Right has a clear majority...but I was waiting for these issues to get brought up...
