Iraqi people are happier than Dems

A few stats from a ABC poll:

seven in 10 Iraqis say their own lives are going well, and nearly two-thirds expect things to improve in the year ahead.

more than six in 10 Iraqis feel very safe in their own neighborhoods, up sharply from just 40 percent in a poll in June 2004. And 61 percent say local security is good — up from 49 percent in the first ABC News poll in Iraq in February 2004.

Average household incomes have soared by 60 percent in the last 20 months (to $263 a month), 70 percent of Iraqis rate their own economic situation positively, and consumer goods are sweeping the country. In early 2004, 6 percent of Iraqi households had cell phones; now it's 62 percent. Ownership of satellite dishes has nearly tripled, and many more families now own air conditioners (58 percent, up from 44 percent), cars, washing machines and kitchen appliances.

The Iraqi people are happy and confident, while Liberals are pissing their pants and crying in the corner...we are really fortunate to have leaders who get things done and help peoples lives...it seems as though Liberals are now the only ones who think going to Iraq was a bad idea.

Liberals like to think they are so smart that they know what is best for the stupid average person....be it the people in Alaska who want to drill for oil, or the people in Iraq....

The Left is simply wrong on every issue

I believe things will work out for good in Iraq. I believe the Dems have been defeated.
But Game, can you start up some talk about McCain? I hate that man with a passion. He can't run his own state decently. Arizona is full of illegals. McCain says whatever he believes his current audience wants to hear, then turns around and does whatever he damn pleases. He tries to go both ways. He's an weasel, an idiot, and worst of all, he's a little girlie man who deludes himself that he is a ladies' man. McCain is what we have to fear in 2008....and he's being a sneaky bastard right now.
I really hope you start a conversation about McCain. I would like to see what others think about McCain.

That's really great news about the Iraqis. It's good to know that they are feeling good at the local level and that they have hope for the future.

Did you notice the part of the poll that said:

Fewer than half of Iraqis say that the country is better off now than before the war.

Half of Iraqis say it was wrong for the US to invade in 2003.

Two-thirds oppose the presence of US and coalition forces.

Nearly six in ten disapprove of how the US has operated in Iraq since the war, most of them disapprove strongly.

So the news could be better.

Does that make sense? Everything is better for them, they admit things are going great, but a bunch of them don't want the people who improved their lives there...I don't get that

I think you DO 'get it', Game. Vagueness probably won't work to enable Jim to 'get it' though.
He seems like a pretty concrete, guy. I doubt if he tries to understand anything requiring abstract thought that doesn't fit with his liberal agenda.
