It's sad because she is using her son's death and gravesite for a photo-op.
I have no doubt she mourns for her son, but she's way over the top. --------- I admit, I also think she'd look good 1000 feet in any direction away from her son, and 6 feet below this point.
The more I see and hear about her, the more evident it is that she is not only is a media prostitute, but that her relationship with her son was very bizarre. Unhealthy is an understatement. What do YOU think of when you look at the picture, Game? I have a guess about what your thoughts are. I'm wondering if I'm right.
I see someone who has been surrounded so long by people using her..that I think she believes what she is doing is right and okay..
I look at the picture and see a sad, pathetic woman. A woman used by others. I won't go as far as say she got up after that picture and danced on her sons grave, but she seems to have no problem talking about it over and over, and taking staged picture after picture.
The classic photos of Sheehan at the book signing with no one showing up but media and calling a press conference at the National Press Club and having only 2 (foreign) reporters cover it tells me her 15 minutes are up.
Nope Game, I wasn't right. Your reply is a lot more politically correct than what I suspected your thoughts were. Lying on her son's grave that way for the purpose of media exposure is prostitution. Did you notice how all of the shadows of the tombstones were aligned with Sheehan's black form? This photo was well planned and rehearsed for maximum effects, including the time of day to get those shadows aligned. They had it planned down to the very last detail. How many different photo 'shots' had to be done before they achieved this balance? That just isn't a normal loving mother's response to her son's death. I am still not convinced that Sheehan had any depth of emotion for her son. I'm not buying the 'I'm a mother so overcome with grief that I can't think straight rationale that others' assign to Sheehan, to excuse her bizarre behavior. That's too superficial. I doubt if Casey was even close to his mother.

She needs to go away.
