Why this super-bowl is a great day for those who love sports

This will mark the FOURTH major sports champion in a row that has little or no big time, grandstanding superstars.

The list:
Patriots
Pistons
White Sox
Steelers/Seahawks

You have TEAMS. Maybe sports is returning to that. It takes teamwork, hard work, role players. That is what real sports fans should want to watch. No selfish babies dancing every time they make a tackle......and look out if they actually score a TD...then you get a 15 minute production....HEY, act like you've been there before.

For those of you who think this is a boring game, you don't like football, atleast not as a team sport. I understand that people want hype, they want trash talk to make things exciting...and that works for many. But trust me, this game will be GREAT to watch.....if you like football.

If you really don't like sports, I'm sure there will be a few NBA games on in your area, put those on to see really no teamwork, and really no basketball. There are very few exception.

This is a great time for people who like to see hard working teams who play the game the way it was meant to be played. Finally enough coaches are now seeing that it doesn't always take the fastest guy or the guy who can jump the highest.....sometimes it takes a TEAMMATE.

Are you crazy? Both teams come from smaller markets, and thats why they dont appear to have any big names. However, you are correct in saying that both teams play great team football, and thats why they are in the Super Bowl. Seattle has the league MVP, and most dominant rusher over the past 4 years. Any follower of football knows that. Big Ben Roethlisberger has been the talk of the NFL for 2 seasons, and the Bus is the 5th leading RB of all time. Seattle's defense is pretty anonymous, but Pitt's has been sending players to the Pro Bowl with great regularity. If Pitt wins, look for Palomalu to be the MVP of the postseason. Thats just a fraction of why they are full of superstars.

Don't think I said they didn't have GOOD football players, I said they didn't have selfish a-hole football players. Palomalu seems to be amazing...

"little or no big time, grandstanding superstars."

So, you meant the grandstanding part?

grandstand - To perform ostentatiously so as to impress an audience.

I can see that since they play for themselves and the team before the audience.
