EXCLUSIVE...EXCLUSIVE...EXCLUSIVE

You will not find this anywhere else (I don't think).

The hot topic right now is this mandate of ethanol gas in WI.

The two conservative radio talk show hosts (Sykes and Belling) are both yelling and screaming that the WI state Senate will vote on this any day and are afraid that it will pass.

I talked to a senior staff member tonight, and he informed told me..."The leader of the Senate usually does not bring a bill to the floor for a vote when it doesn't have the votes to pass. In this case, it will be brought to the floor in the next two weeks, and it will NOT PASS."

It is really a great thing. The government has been getting good at telling us things that we can and can not do in our personal lives. They SHOULD NOT be telling us to use gas that cost more, pollutes the air more, gets worse gas mileage, and ruins engines....

Pass this info around....I know I am not a part of the "loop", but give me credit for the inside info...

You got it.

Thanks, it came from a guy who used to work for all state senators is an important role...he still works in the capitol, should be a very reliable source...

read a lot to go against your claims...you'll have to back that up

"that cost more, pollutes the air more, gets worse gas mileage, and ruins engines...."

Wrong on all accounts except worse gas mileage. That is easy to fix with a couple tweaks to the system.

I wrote my message after rhyno's, not sure what happened...

I lived through the conversion to unleaded. Its all the same crap they tried to pull in the 70's cuz nobody wanted to change. Just trying to make people afraid of change. Ethanol burns WAY cleaner than gasoline. I have NO idea where that came from. It wont ruin an engine, either. It just has less of the octane of unleaded gas. Proper maintenance will handle that. Also, I already mentioned that tweaking the system will raise the gas mileage. It will still be below unleaded gas, but this wont matter for a couple reasons:

1) A fraction of the pollution, as I mentioned.

2) The other bogus claim of higher cost. Ethanol is SO much cheaper than gasoline. Also, it can be extracted, in perpetum, from regenerating sources like corn. All we need is the infrastructure to make it go.

point:
since ethanol is less fuel efficient, you need to burn more gas to get around....so it pollutes more on that basis alone...AND since you need to burn more gas, it costs more to have it...

if ethanol was so much cleaner, why is it that the Sierra Club demanded that the DNR have the power to tighten air pollution regs on other industries to make up for the supposedly cleaner emissions of ethanol?

See, that's wrong. The numbers I've seen for fuel decrease are around a 2% drop per gallon. Will you notice that? No. And the significantly reduced emissions WILL pay off.
