Media/liberals wrong again

The liberal media and their followers became very stimulated yesterday when they heard there was a tape of the President being told that the levees might not handle the upcoming hurricane...

First of all, even if this video was true, the President is told hundreds of things from many people everyday...just listening to seconds of one conversation and coming up with a conclusion about decisions made is really weak reasoning.

We now know that the latest false report thrown out by the media is slander:
Bush Didn't Lie About Levee Breaching

However, the tape shows that what Mayfield actually told Bush was: "I don'’t think any model can tell you with any confidence right now whether the levees will be topped or not, but that's obviously a very, very grave concern."

Mayfield told NBC News on Thursday that he warned only that the levees might be topped "– that is, the storm surge could push water over the top of the levees not breached, and that on the many conference calls he monitored, "Nobody talked about the possibility of a levee breach or failure until after it happened."

Mayfield even told Bush: "The forecast now suggests that there will be minimal flooding in the City of New Orleans itself."

So the Dems ran around giddy as little school girls thinking they had the President again...only to find out they were wrong once again. Of course, the fact they were lying will not stop many to think it was Bush's fault things went sour with Katrina.

But, even though I gave example after example showing how Blanco and the chocolate mayor were the vast majority of the problem...many Dem's ignore it. They ignore all the buses that sat in New Orleans and were flooded...they ignored the fact Blanco and Nagin gave the Fed's poor and false information. They didn't make any correct decisions, they caused fear and panic by acting like lunatics. These Dem's were not in the same league as a Republican mayor who faced tragedy....we know who that is..

But now, even more proof that all the Dem's who blame Bush are once again all wet. Your sole reason for living is a quest for power, and it clouds your judgement (if you have any). Here is more proof that Blanco blew it:

In New Video, Blanco Says Levees Are Safe
In the hectic, confused hours after Hurricane Katrina lashed the Gulf Coast, Louisiana's governor hesitantly but mistakenly assured the Bush administration that New Orleans' protective levees were intact, according to new video obtained by The Associated Press showing briefings that day with federal officials.

"We keep getting reports in some places that maybe water is coming over the levees," Gov. Kathleen Blanco said shortly after noon on Aug. 29, according to the video. "We heard a report unconfirmed, I think, we have not breached the levee. I think we have not breached the levee at this time."

Here is just a little more facts and proof on who is to blame on this one...

As reported by the MRC’s Brad Wilmouth on October 8, 2005, Lisa Myers did a piece for the NBC “Nightly News” on October 7 addressing a number of key mistakes that Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco made during this crisis which the media now seem content to ignore. In this segment, Myers played a video recorded by CNN wherein Blanco admitted that she was slow in bringing in federal troops to the area, and actually waited until Wednesday, August 31 to ask the president for this assistance. In addition, the piece specifically addressed how she and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin ignored warnings by experts that it would take 48 hours to evacuate the city, and, instead, after “[praying] that the impact will soften,” issued the mandatory evacuation just 20 hours before Katrina made landfall.

From interview with Michael Brown on CNN:

MESERVE: In the transcripts of the 29th briefing, you talk about conversations you had that morning with the president. This is the day of landfall. And you say you talked to him about a number of things. He's asked questions breaches of the levees [emphasis added]. How did the president know to ask about breaches of the levees? Did he have reports in hand at that time already that that had happened in New Orleans?

BROWN: There's no question in my mind he probably had those reports, because we were feeding in the Homeland Security Operations Center, into the White House sit room, all of the information that we were getting. So he had to have had that information. Plus, I think the president knew from our earlier conversations that that was one of my concerns, that the levees could actually breach.

OK, he told the president that the formula didnt predict a levee break. Then, he tells him that the predictions arent worth anything. Turd. Well, actually, both of them.

The buses, specifically, were under the governance of FEMA for the evacuation. The head of FEMA was an incompetent shittard. He resigned the buses back to to local control, without giving any direction for their use. The mayor didnt have a clue.

Looks like all parties need to retire.

Are you guys capable of saying a Democrat did anything wrong, EVER.

You guys love to blame Bush for everything. I have bashed him when I believed he deserved it. Bush since you guys love to say I just say and do anything the GOP says, I think it is time to throw it back in your face.

This is your chance to stop looking like sheep. Blanko and Nagin are two of the most incompetent people in the world. they should be fired on the spot.

I'm sure FEMA did a poor job as well. Never read the buses were FEMA. Anyway, it seems that Bush had a lot of people saying a lot of things...he called for an evacuation, Nagin waited until it was too late. After the hurricane was over, Bush relied on the local government for information. You have to blame those two idiots way before you blame Bush

But your hate for Bush clouds any ability to think.

Rhyno...like you use of the world shittard...and atleast you almost come around by saying everyone sucked....

I swear you read my comments like women listen to men, with strong filter for what they want to hear. I said that the FEMA guy was a turd for saying the levees wouldnt break, and then saying his opinion might not be correct. You cant do that to someone without good intellectual facilities. Then I called Bushie a turd, too, cuz he is the president and he is supposed to be able to understand that what he just head was CYA speech for 'get down there and be ready'.

Oh, and the buses were FEMA's for use, not that they owned them. They got use of the buses through some federal Act that governs emergency relief. Then, they shit and ran. You had the same situation, then. The maire d' chocolat is way too dumb to handle something like that.

I never said you say and do everything the GOP says. Ibelieve you are independantly deluded when we disagree. :)
