Message from GITMO

I am going to include part on an email a friend of mine has from a soldier who is/was serving our country at GITMO. Now, this is from someone who was actually there and actually knows the truth about what is going on. This is not a liberal reporter in New York...

Greetings from GTMO Well I've been here for almost six weeks. Life is not too bad atGTMO. It's interesting to say the least.

I'm sure you've all heard or read about things going on down here.i.e. "torture" and mistreatment of detainees. Don't beleive it. Thedetainees are treated, housed, and fed better than any prisoner held in USDetention facilities. They also have access to better health care than I do(I have to wait six months for a dental appointment and they get seen w/in24 hours). That's pretty sad when you think that many of the detaineeswere direcltly involved in the planning, logistics, and actions of 9/11.These are truly bad people. Many of them will even say they will kill youif given the opportunity. Fortunately, the security in place here doesn'tgive them the opportunity.

Just showing how our country takes the high ground, and does what is right 99.9% of the time. Of course, those who hate Bush and our military will continue to make up stories and blow up the few bad stories that do exist.
