Senate Democrats have mapped a political battle plan for the March congressional recess that calls on lawmakers to stage press events with active duty military personnel, veterans and emergency responders to bash President Bush on virtually every one of his national security policies.
"Ensure that you have the proper U.S. and state flags at the event, and consider finding someone to sing the national anthem and lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the event," the battle plan states.
Doesn't this seem fake? You have to tell Democrats to have the American Flag up and say the Pledge of Allegiance...
Doesn't this just seem like an attempt to fool people into believing they are something they are not? I argue this is what they always do before an election...they can't run on liberal ideas.

This is certainly no more fake and probably much less fake than the "town hall meetings" that Bush speaks to. Hand picked audiences with no chance of dissent. Anybody who even hints of opposition to the president is hustled out and detained. Then the audience lobs the biggest softball questions in history at him and tell him how great he is.
Now these town hall meetings are FAKE.
Where are the memo's from the right reminding them how to look like they are pro-American? Why does the Left need these memo's?

OMG! How ridiculous is the idea that the press EVER throws softball questions at Bush? Jim, Pay attention next time he holds a press conference. Listen to leftist David Gregory's questions and then try to convince anyone that Bush gets softball questions.

OMG Mark, pay attention yourself and READ THE FRICKIN' POST. There is no press to ask questions at a town hall meeting. There are only TV cameras to record the softballs and the canned answers. My favorite "question" is "Mr. President, you're doing a great job, and what can I do to help."
David Gregory is far from a leftist. Do you think he's a leftist because he asks questions for which Bush has no intelligent canned answer? He just happens to ask real questions and he actually asks follow ups when the answers don't stand up known facts.
