Slobodan Milosevic Dies in Prison Cell

I think this story shows how pathetic and worthless world courts or any court outside our country is. He was on trial for over 4 years.

Let's see, which side is all for a world court? Yep, you guest it....they are on the wrong side of yet another issue

Right-ists are against world courts for the same reason they wont back most universal agreements. They arent team players, and take a purely 'us only' view of the world and its workings. They think that because they are the current douchebags in power of a superpower that they can bully others with their ethnocentrist agenda, and shoot their capguns in the air to make themselves feel patriotic, or whatever. Plus, they cant become part of a world system when they are hypocrits who cant stand up to their own rules.

So... what's your point? I don't believe you. Convince me that world courts are a good idea or that universal agreements are a good idea. Do you even believe they are? Or do you just think we should "all get along" ?

Cooperation for cooperation's sake is not a good thing any more than tolerance for tolerance sake. Cooperation should be a means to a useful end. If the end cannot be demonstrated to be positive, why bother? Why agree to something that isn't even going to accomplish it's intended purpose? Why join a "world system" when our own system works better than everything else? Shouldn't they join us if the goal is truly to make things better?

What would have happened if all of Europe would have cooperated with Hitler to avoid having to bomb innocent civilians?
