So what does this mean for the political landscape.
Bush has looked very bad on this, even if he was not as wrong as the Left and media made him seem.
The GOP was just about to get out of trouble, but now the issue is over. I think that hurts the GOP. They would have passed a bill that would have not allowed the UAE to run any ports, that way the Left could only blame Bush. Now, since many people are not very smart, they will say, "Well, the GOP WAS going to support it."
Maybe this will not even be an issue at all in a month.

A month from now no one will remember about Dubai.
People will remember where politicians decide to stand when the shit finally hits the fan in Iran, which will probably happen in a few months, if not weeks.
You said it, people are too stupid to think on their own. One minute they are so infuriated, and the next its, "Oh, look...a pretty shiny thing."
