Two stories show the hypocrisy of the Senate.
Senators talk about conservation, yet they fly around in private jets, have massive vacation homes, and have caravans of SUV's....
story here
I didn't write the story...but it does seem that all the people using yet another issue for politician gain say one thing, yet do another...there are books and books and web site after web site with these examples...but here are a few more.
Remember, these people tell you to conserve..
"Since George Bush and Dick Cheney took over as president and vice president, gas prices have doubled!" charged Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), standing at an Exxon station on Capitol Hill where regular unleaded hit $3.10. "They are too cozy with the oil industry."
She then hopped in a waiting Chrysler LHS (18 mpg) -- even though her Senate office was only a block away.
Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) used a Hyundai Elantra to take the one-block journey to and from the gas-station news conference. He posed in front of the fuel prices and gave them a thumbs-down. "Get tough on big oil!" he demanded of the Bush administration.
Then you have Teddy, gulp, gulp, Kennedy opposing an alternative method of energy production...
Kennedy faces fight on Cape Wind
Why anyone takes what these people say with anything BUT a grain of salt is beyond me...
Just remember, YOU are supposed to make the sacrifices, they continue to do whatever they want. Anything they say is simply said to get votes, not out of a sign of actual conviction.
Why don't you all shut up until you want to lead by example

Scorpion says--
Just remember,Ted Kennedy is very comfortable in water, and under
water. How some of these laughable losers continue to think their point of view is credible is the best example of why the"U.W.'s" or
uninformed whiners still believe their "jumbled" jargon posted from
sources that are even worse"U.W.'s"
should make everyone agree to this
usually mo-ron-ic way of thinking.
