South Park is so topical...
They just had an episode where Al Gore came to South Park to save everyone from Manbearpig...everyone saw him as a fool, and he almost killed the children trying to save them from Manbearpig....
Translation to the fans from the West Coast (a bit slow in the head):
Al Gore looks like a fool as he tells us how we all will die from global warming...
And they also insinuated that he does this as an attention grab...
Sometimes I think that's true, but I think somewhere in his head he believes global warming is going to kill us all in the next 2 weeks....

Let's just pretend everything is OK.
no Jim, you are correct...
the inaccurate 100 years of data that environmentalist have is sufficent and significant in proving that we are changing the worlds climate of billions of years....why were environmentalist saying that we were going to have global cooling in the 1970's??????
Anyone who thinks we are powerful enough to instantly change the planet is either a moron or saying such things to get what they want
OK, fine. In 20 years, you're going to be saying, "Oh, shit! Al was right."
But that's in 20 years, so don't worry about it now. Don't look at the pictures of Alaska, Greenland, Montana, the South Pole, Mount Kilimanjaro from 20 years ago and then today. Don't think there's global warming? OK.
It's interesting that 95% of American scientists who don't work for oil companies are convinced that global warming not only exists, but that man is contributing to it.
I suppose if you believe in end times and that they are coming soon, it really doesn't make any difference to you. Fine. If you are looking forward to not having to shovel the snow from your driveway ever again, fine.
There has been a lot of climate knowledge gained in the 30 years since the 70s. According to Wikipedia:
"Thirty years later, the concern that the cooler temperatures would continue, and perhaps at a faster rate, can now be observed to have been wrong. More has to be learned about climate, but the growing records have shown the cooling concerns of 1975 to have been simplistic and not borne out."
I would sincerely ask you to stop drinking the kool-aide and listen to or read something scientific. Not something put out by the oil companies and not something edited by the White House communications director.
Or stick your head in the sand. The Spanish version of the National Anthem is much, much more important than global warming, and of course Al Gore is raving lunatic.
if there is global warming, we can do nothing about it....you are very egocentric if you think we have that power...
having people sing our countries national anthem in spanish is disrespecful, embarrassing, and a sign that we are becoming mexico north...and we can do something about that....well, the people who want to keep this country more than the welfare office of mexico anyway
Was there a manbearpig?

Excuse you? Humanity created the problem. We have to at least make an attempt to do something about it.
Game, do you have any scientific facts or argument that support your position? Do you read any scientific material on the subject?
Or do you dismiss what 95% of scientists say because it doesn't fit your "world view" or lack of it?
Jim:
Who are included in this class of scientists? It is not very impressive if no more than 50 people living in the United States have Ph.D.'s in climatology. And I wouldn't see the relevance of specialists in optics or computer science believing in global warming. I know a computer scientist from enlightened Europe that doesn't even believe in the germ theory of disease.
Hell, I still am awaiting the exciting answer to rhyno's question! lol.
OK, Jason, how about this:
Science Magazine analyzed 928 peer-reviewed scientific papers on global warming published between 1993 and 2003. Not a single one challenged the scientific consensus the earth’s temperature is rising due to human activity. This scientific debate only exists in newspaper articles.
