LAURA BUSH SAYS HILLARY KEPT BAD HOUSE; WEST WING DECORATIONS WERE GAUDY, OUTDATED

First Lady Laura Bush believes Hillary Clinton did not keep good house during her time as first lady, a new book will charge.

Ron Kessler, a former investigative reporter for the WASHINGTON POST and the WALL STREET JOURNAL, is set to unleash his account of Laura Bush.On December 18, 2000, just after the Supreme Court ruled on the election, Hillary Clinton gave Laura Bush a tour of the White House.

The incoming-First Lady was dismayed at what she saw: Not only were carpets and furnishings fraying and in disrepair in the West Wing and public areas, the Oval Office was done in loud colors—red, blue, and gold! The East Wing was cut up into small offices and had exposed electrical conduits.

Many of the furnishings looked dated.Laura Bush noted how the Lincoln Bedroom looked worn out.

Whom do you relate with more? The stay at home, motherly, responsible figure...
or
The feminist, I'm too good to take care of my kids, husband and the house figure...

I'm glad to see in recent years more women are getting the feminist crap out of their heads and understanding the most important job in the ENTIRE WORLD is the stay-at-home mom.

And it should not be a surprise the White House looked like crap. You have two hippies in there, selling the Lincoln bedroom to anyone who will give the DNC money...
Not to mention all the women Bill had in there all the time...

Dennis Miller said it best: "When Bill Clinton pardoned all those criminals minutes before Bush became President, it was as if he spent 8 years pissing all over the Presidential crest in the oval office...and as he walked out he said....oopps, missed a spot."

There is no doubt about it...
They raise our kids, can instill values, keep nuclear families together.

I did a research paper in college, used stats and proved that as women started leaving the home and entering the workplace, domestic violence went up, divorce up, drug use up...

maybe a coincidence, maybe not

Teacher is a close second since there are not many good parents anymore

What a load of horse crap! Who cares what Laura Bush thinks about the White House decoration?

May I present you with a list of 77 pardons and commutations by George H. W. Bush including Casper Weinberger, Elliott Abrams, and Robert McFarland as well as 13 people on the penultimate day of his term.

Ronald Reagn 406 in 8 years.

And Dennis Miller used to be funny.

-- Patty Hearst, the 19-year-old newspaper heiress who made headlines in 1974 after she was kidnapped by the radical Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). She was later photographed, machine gun in hand, helping the SLA in a bank robbery attempt. Although Hearst would later maintain she was brainwashed, she was convicted and sentenced to seven years in jail for the robbery. President Carter commuted the sentence after she served two years.

On August 11, 1999, Clinton commuted the sentences of 16 members of FALN, a violent Puerto Rican nationalist group that set off bombs several times in New York City and Chicago, convicted for conspiracies to commit robbery, bomb-making, and sedition, as well as for firearms and explosives violations.

* Carlos Vignali was pardoned for cocaine trafficking.
* Almon Glenn Braswell, was pardoned of fraud, perjury and tax evasion convictions as part of a mail order scam. Braswell and Carlos Vignali each paid approximately $200,000 to First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, to represent their respective case for clemency. Hugh Rodham returned the payments after they were disclosed to the public. This pardon also gained notice because shortly after the pardon was issued it was revealed that Braswell was once again under investigation for tax evasion.[8]
* Marc Rich, a fugitive, was pardoned of tax evasion, after clemency pleas from Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak among many other international luminaries. Denise Rich, Marc's former wife, was a close friend of the Clintons and had made substantial donations to both Clinton's library and Hillary's Senate campaign. Several months after her last donation, emails reveal Republican attorney Lewis I "Scooter" Libby asked her to approach Clinton about pardoning Marc Rich. Clinton agreed to a pardon that required Marc Rich to pay a $100,000,000 fine before he could return to the states. According to ABC news, Marc Rich was a middleman for several of Iraq's suspect oil deals in February 2001, just one month after his pardon from President Clinton. And a U.S. criminal investigation is looking into whether Rich, as well as several other prominent oil traders, made illegal payments to Iraq in order to obtain the lucrative oil contracts.
* Susan McDougal, who had already completed her sentence, was pardoned for her role in the Whitewater scandal; McDougal had served 18 months on contempt charges for refusing to testify about Clinton's role.
