Someone has to say it:

Isnt a FOX News anchor and White House press secretary the same thing?

thank you...

Now I can bring up George Stephenopolis (sp?)

lets add more dems to the list

Wait a minute now.

Stephanopoulis was communications director, not press secretary.

Also, Stephanopoulis left the White House before becoming an ABC news analyst.

Stephanopoulis is NOT a shill for the Democratic party.

I think Snow is a great choice. I also don't understand criticism of the appointment. How could anyone but a Republican properly represent the views of the White House?

There is nothing wrong with it, and any Dem who says so is swimming in hypocracy. You need a life jacket Jim.

Nah, its more of a one way, game. Anchor to press sec is the same. Press sec to interview person not the same.

It might be one way, but the other way.

Someone working for the President, then goes on to work as a "independant" reporter...and pretend to not be biased..how many speech writers for liberals are in the "fair" liberal media?

Republican speech writers don't pretend to be fair and balanced...they host conservative radio shows or write columns in papers and mags that are clearly to the right

No way. If anything, Stephanopoulos has a less than positive opinion of Clinton. If you listen to him talk, he finds the things that Clinton did well, and then picks him apart as a person and points out the stuff he screwed up.

rhyno is correct. Stephanopoulis has been critical of Clinton, and is not biased towards liberals. Guests on his panel are more often conservative than liberal. And get your facts straight again. Stephanopoulis is not a reporter. He is an analyst and host. He has never claimed to be anything else. Furthermore, you have offered nothing to demonstrate that he has a liberal bias. Again, you have no credibility.

I need no life jacket. I have not said anything that isn't true. And the press secretary is by definition a shill for the administration.

And, to prove this point further, George Stephanopolous was Clinton's political advisor in his campaign in '92, and is still critical of him.

I think he'd be a rather good one to show no real bias that has effect.
