This is one of the problems with Bush's plan...
A wall, that will stop them...6,000 troops no...did you know NYC has 35,000 police?
Yet, 6,000 troops will secure the border?
Sorry to say, this plan will probably fail...not strong enough to start, and it will get weaker as more people put pressure on politicians.
UNTIL YOU SECURE THE BORDER, the talk about what to do with the rest of these people that have already broke the law does not matter.

i do agree with game also in this -- if they don't do something serious, the u.s. is going to be completely over-run by illegal immigrants.
now, i have nothing at all against legal immigrants, the ones who have done as they should to be here legally. but i am sososososososo tired of people from one single place coming up here in flocks and hords to get in here illegally, and the u.s. just lets them do as they please.
they bring lots and lots of crime, they let those who are in the u.s. legally out of jobs, they bring poverty and extremely poor standard of living, and the u.s. is in total reverse-discrimination mode.
i'm tired of it. they need to start a frikkin' war if you ask me with mexico, but won't. it's sickening, and yes, i'm damned mad over it.
gwb does nothing of real significance when it's something that directly affects the u.s. such as this; he's weak, and blind to how bad the situation is. either that, or he actually wants them coming in. i think it has to do with nafta. get rid of that sucka, and bye-bye illegals from one single country, and in with people from other countries as well. those with some real honest culture.
the i.n.s. charges the hell out of people from other countries to come into the u.s. legally, and makes them wait ungodly decades to finally even get to stage 2 of their immigration, yet the illegals from mexico get a free pass. how screwed up is this picture?
well, with gwb, being from tejas, it kinda makes sense. and, as i said, it's damned sickening.
get those minutemen out any day of the week. even though there's nowhere near enough of them, at least they do something real about the situation.
i'm 100% completely with game on this one --
another thing that really pisses me off, is there was a democratic candidate (if i remember correctly) for the 2004 election who said right out and blatantly on illegal immigrants, just as i did: Send them home! the only one of the candidates, repubs & dems alike, to speak out so boldly about it, on t.v. no less, without worrying about political correctness or anything. he made a lot of sense also on what he'd do about the situation. i'm thinking it was dennis kucinich, but i could be mistaken. memory fails. sigh.
ticks me off he didn't even make the primaries. i would've voted for him on that issue alone. no one could see then how bad the situation was getting to be, but he did. and now we're totally over-run with how bad it is on the illegals issue.
if they weren't here illegally, there wouldn't be an issue. BUT,,, the u.s. just rolled and played dead to it. now, the country's playing pay for it, and it seems there's little or no end in sight with it.
