17 Terror Suspects Arrested in Toronto

Well, I sure do hope evil GWB didn't have these guys phones tapped...
I feel sorry for these guys, its possible the US was infringing on their constitutional right to privacy....
Never mind that they were going to take a way thousands of people's right to be alive by blowing them up...
Its not worth it if even one terrorists right to privacy is trampled on...right liberals?
You would rather have a bunch of dead people than the govt knowing who you might have called two months ago.

Has anyone ever said they were agains tthe tapping? I believe what everyone gets pissed about is that Queen George doesnt think she needs to go through all that law stuff before getting one.

Exactly, rhyno, but some people either don't get it or they want to continue lying by saying liberals don't want the administration to do what is necessary to fight terrorism, legally.

So what if it could be shown that information was gathered using the presidents executive power (meaning illegal to you), what would you say then???

Jim said...

Which executive power would that be?

I agree with jim and rhyno. Also did Canadians do anything against the law to capture these people? If not I guess what this really shows is it CAN be done in this way. Why do you hate our Constitution game? Do you hate the American way?

I have explained it over and over. Queen George is a secretive and dirty bastard who prefers to do everything behind closed doors. IF.....he is doing this legally, nobody will ever know because he will hide all details of it. Having already set a standard for immaturity, immorality and underhandedness, nobody is prepared to give him the benefit of doubt.

George Bush is within the law, and Hillary Clinton will do the same thing given she becomes president.

Get informed.

OK, you are missing the point. When presidents do this, nobody should find out about it. He is a scumbag, and thats why there are so many scandals. He is a l-o-s-e-r.

Perhaps you're forgetting that the US Constitution doesn't cover Canada.

Yet.

Yep, and just like GWB, you'd like it to.

Who cares that it's not the U.S.' country.

If the canadians did it illegally they are eroding their country too..your way leads to facism, dictatorship or anarchy. That is why I am against it. Would I rather die than give up my country..yep... the troops will, so I should be willing to, don't cha think? Or do you think it is only up to the troops to die for freedom?

spying on terrorist does not take away our freedom, and I think atleast some of the info that helped capture them came from stuff they did here...not positive on that though

Correctomondo Game. Spying on Americans who may hold different views than the party in power does though. Mass spying and data mining does. This is what I am worried about. If that is not happening I am fine.

I know one thing:

No matter what they do, no matter how they use it, it's not going to stop me. I'm going to continue to speak up for what is right.

They can do what they want to me for it. I don't care.

The gov't can blow far as I'm concerned. They have brains of mush anyway, and no one in the U.S. gov't is worth my time or worry any more.
