US President George W. Bush's triumphant return from his unannounced visit in Iraq found opposition Democrats more divided than ever on US policy in the wartorn country, and how best to capitalize on administration missteps there.
Republicans basked in the afterglow of the president's dramatic lightning visit Tuesday to meet with Iraq's new Prime Minister Nuri Maliki -- an event likely to figure prominently in a daylong debate Thursday in the House of Representatives on Iraq and the US "war on terror."
Bush's trip Tuesday followed last week's successes in Iraq, with the formation of the country's new unity government and the killing of Al-Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
But Democrats -- who have disagreed about the war since the invasion more than three years ago -- continued to be riven by internal dissent, particularly on the critical question of an exit strategy from Iraq.
One of the party's most prominent figures, Senator John Kerry, is expected to introduce a resolution this week calling for a pullout of American forces by the end of the year.

1) Queen Bush changes his mind so often, do we really know what or goals are there? Regime change? Already done. Safe and democratic iraq? Not a measureable goal. He lied to get support to go, knowing that his pathetic cries would be to just be strong or whatever he always fumbles over.
2) Economy not great. Standard of living dropping while prices rise. Underemployment is rampant. Mid-range jobs being shipped overseas in record numbers. Foreclosure rate on the verge of crushing banks.
3) Before you say Rove isnt guilty, we need to have a trial. Rather than waste the nations time and money like Starr, the Da chose not to persue charges whent it was obvious there wouldnt be a guilty verdict.
4) Dunno, ask a Dem.
5) Who cares. I would rather my daughter had wilderness and a variety of species to see there, than have cheap gasoline for instant gratification.

That Bill Clinton wants forces to remain in Iraq until the job is done indicates how far, far left Democrats like Kerry have moved on the issue of Iraq over the last 18 months.

Claim #1 is false. You need to review what Bush was saying leading up to the war.

Claim #2, while not false, is misleading, since the economy not being great doesn't exclude it being good, which it very well is when you look at the entire picture.
The bigger the picture, the worse it looks. There is no definition of what would be good, os it stinks until you can prove its good.
