First of all, any liberal who got all over Jim Sensenbrenner
(Wiscsonsin congressman) for voting down all the Katrina aid better give him a call Monday morning and say you are sorry....
He told everyone EXACTLY what was going to happen. That a good amount of this money would be wasted and stolen, and now we find out atleast 60% of it was.
Now, do you think the guy who wrote this editorial is playing the liberal "don't blame poor people because they don't know any better?"
Or, should we just blame the govt again....
I think it is crazy how good the govt is at wasting money. I think that all these budget problems we have on the Federal, State and Local levels would not be problems if govt didn't waste so much money, and this story proves it.
It also proves that for many people who live lives of squalor, they do it to themselves.
A professor told me quite a few years ago, that if you took all the money in the world and gave everyone the exact same amount...within 20 years things would be just about back to normal....
The point is, it is not wrong to blame people who spent free money on crap, because that is why they are poor. All they do is make bad decisions, they create their own life.....they make their bed, and it is not my job to fix it.

This administration has a bad history of just throwing cash out to people when it isnt their business or its stupid to do so. Its their stupid mentality of 'just throw money at it' solution to problems. Poor little rich boys finding out money isnt the solution to anything.
My problem with Sensenbrenner's votes against Katrina aid had little to do with his inhumaity. It instead had to do with the fact that he voted for continued aid to Iraq reconstruction (where billions of US taxpayer dollars have vanished into thin air) and he and his staff watse more taxpayer money on travel junkets than just about any other Congressman. It's hypocrisy, not principles.
You might be right, might not be, that wasn't the topic I presented...
He was 100% correct on this issue and is owed many apologies
Speaking of stealing and fraud you might want to look at this
I think we are talking about the same thing Ron
