What liberals should be saying

I new reader to the blog wrote this:

As a liberal, I have to certainly concur that the killing of Al-Zarqawi might be the "straw" that turned this thing around in Iraq. The recent findings (papers, diskfiles, etc.) and captured killed Al-Qaida operatives are ample testimony that now is not the time to pull back or heavens-to-betsy pullout. W have them in a box; let's squeeze the box tight!

WOW...well done...
especially if you are a liberal
If Democrats stopped worrying ONLY about getting power back and started worrying about the safety of this country and the world...things would get done better and quicker

for jim: that comment is completely valid..there is NO NO NO NO, not ONE Dem saying what this liberal just said....if Kerry and all the other people who you claim love America would say stuff like this...the world would see America as strong and unified...because of the stupid demands to pull out now, we look weak and it gives terrorists hope...

Well said, and I've been saying the same thing for a long time.
Kudos to you...

We'll see. I've noticed that the violence in Iraq has significantly decreased since AZ was killed and that nobody has stepped up to fill his shoes.

(The above is sarcasm for those of you who may not recognize it.)

AZ was killed? Again? I missed it? How many times now?

I wonder how much better things might have been if Bush had given the go ahead to kill al-Zarqawi in 2002 and 2003 prior to the Iraq invasion. US intelligence agencies knew his whereabouts and presented Bush with multiple plans for capturing or killing him, but Bush would not give the go-ahead in fear that eliminating al-Zarqawi would undermine US justification for invading Iraq.

Sources: Here, and in the Wall Street Journal October 25, 2004 report (subscription required). Former US spy Mike Scheuer also confirmed this.

I'd still like to know if he's honestly dead now...
