While reporting live in Gaza, FOX News reporter David Lee Miller was fired upon during a live television report. In the video you hear the gun shot while Miller is talking to the camera and the reaction from the crew in the FOX studio.
The hateful left has some really tolerant comments about Miller’s close call over at The Huffington Post. Here is just a taste of their death wishes for David Lee:
It’s better to shoot Fox reporters over there than over here.By: TDoff on July 13, 2006 at 06:20pm

Would have been great had the Israeli soldier who fired not been a lousy shot. Fox’s spin to blame the Palestinians for their reporter’s death would have been a real hoot.By: jeffobix on July 13, 2006 at 06:26pm

This is misleading, naturally. You imply that these remarks are posts on the Huffington Post while they are actually comments made by readers. Only Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin would actually POST comments like this.
These comments seem to be of humorous intention and not serious to me, but then I'm not trolling blog comments looking for yet another gratuitious reason to bash the left.
I just can't imagine what they would be writing at the con blogs had this been a CNN or MSNBC reporter.
find comment after comment showing conservatives happy someone got shot at...
see, you constantly LIE when you say "both sides do it" or "it was just for fun"
Well, if both sides do it, why can conservatives find tons of material to put on the internet showing how hateful, crazy and loony liberals are...yet there is only 1% of the same kind of material to be found from conservatives....the answer is simply...liberalism is a mental disorder
"find comment after comment showing conservatives happy someone got shot at"
Interestingly, there seems to be few liberal reporters in the field. OH WAIT!!!! Arent ALL the reporters in the field liberals, game? Well, except for those on Faux News.....
And, Game, you should notice that the comments are all tagged "abusive," which means mosy HuffPo reders recognized them as being over the line.
And I can't believe you would make a statement like "find comment after comment showing conservatives happy someone got shot at" so shortly after your side of the blogoverse went bloodthirsty for thr deaths of NYT reporters and editors, with well-read bloggers and commenters alike wanting justice. (See Jamison Foser here, and read the links, too.)
Just this week, one of the highest-ranking conservative blogs in the ecosystem called for the deaths of the Supreme Court, writing, "Five robes. Five ropes. Five trees. Some assembly required."
Little Green Footballs is infamous for its commenters' cheering Rachel Corrie's death.
You can find links to buy this shirt on many conservative blogs.
How many more do you want me to come up with?
your thousands behind...but the things you posted are wrong as well...ahhh, I can be intellectually honest...see how it works...no, you guys obviously don't
"Little Green Footballs is infamous for its commenters' cheering Rachel Corrie's death."
Come on, St. Pancake is hilarious. Natural selection at work.
What do you mean, the things I posted are wrong? Show me; don't smugly dismiss me.
In this very thread one of your commenters mocked the death of Rachel Corrie.
If I cared to, I could come up with a list, much longer than the five comments you posted, of conservative bloggers and commenters calling for the deaths of journalists. Or the deaths of liberals. Or, if one prominent Wisconsin blogger hadn't erased his whole blog, my death.
no jay..sorry, typing fast...
the things you typed were wrong of the people to say them... I am not a blind political hack...wrong is wrong...
Thanks, Game. The statement was ambiguous and I took it wrong.
Oh, and check out the comments quoted in this Glenn Greenwald post--more active wishing for journalists' deaths by conservatives.
Jay--
My lost post was sponsored by IHOP. Rachel Corrie should have been given a Darwin Award, not leftist martyrdom for supporting terrorists.
I make no apologies for being mean. But liberals, who pride themselves on how good they are, face a dilemma-- drop hate and keep the notion that they are a morally pure vanguard that needs to save the benighted masses...
OR-- keep up the hate and the meanspirited tinhoil behavior and drop the notion of moral purity.
Logic has never been the strong suit of leftist activists, so my words here are wasted.
Jason, let's try this:
For every major (i.e., top 200 or so on the Ecosystem) liberal blogger you find advocating violence against conservatives, the media, or anyone else for that matter, I will find you three conservative ones.
Deal?
You seem to be under the impression that liberals have a bunch of hate to "drop" or "keep up." It's just not true; for example, three of the four top liberal blogs in the ecosphere have stories up today (two at the Daily Kos) about a tremendously mirsrepresentative--and damaging to leading Democratic leaders' credibility--story in the New York Times. Not one of those bloggers, or their commenters, has called for the death or destruction of anyone associated with the NYT. No one has demanded or posted directions to the reporter's house, with instructions to "grab for the gold ring."
You think we hate because you choose to believe that about us, not based on any actual evidence whatsoever. Many conservatives have constructed a fantasy liberal in their heads that they can hate and mock with abandon, but that fantasy liberal just simply does not exist.
Jason...I still think there are more conservatives that come here than liberals...the conservatives just read and learn...they don't all comment...so keep up the good work...
They learn from the liberal posts, certainly not from yours.
I'll qualify that. If they are like me, they read the junk you dredge up from NewsMax and NewsBusters, then they actually go out and read the source material and research the facts to find it is just that - junk.
Game I have learned more about the government, the democrats, the constitution and the economy by coming here than I could ever have imagined.
And what I have learned from the research is that most everything you repeat here from those sites is misleading at best and incredibly false at worst.
well, glad you learned a lot...
Yeah, you should try it.
Jim,
What is your level of schooling and what do you do?
