Little Green Footballs found a New York Times picture where the photographer, Joao Silva, gets eerily close to the gunman firing on U.S. troops.
The photo caption says:
"A sniper loyal to Shiite cleric Moqtada al Sadr fires towards U.S. positions in the cemetery in Najaf, Iraq."
Remarks Michele McNally, Assistant Managing Editor for Photography: “Right there with the Mahdi army. Incrediblecourage.”
Is this okay?
I think it would have been okay if the photographer shot the guy...
How did he get in that room?
If the NYT reporter was a true American patriot, wouldn't he be enraged with anger that this guy is shooting at the American troops that EVERYONE says they "support"....well, I guess no one everaccuseded anyone in the liberal media of being a patriot...
Maybe the enemy knows how valuable the American media is to their cause...especially the NYT...

I think the photographer should have told the sniper to stop or else he would not take his picture.

If anything, it shows the neutrality of the journalist.
maybe I don't want an American journalist to be neutral in some cases...like when someone is trying to KILL our soldiers...

Anyone that wouldn't be outraged at this is not a true American. You may live here, but if you are so nuetral, then why don't you pack your bags and go live over there. Your memories are part of that shit, since I have stated several times that I am a veteran, and fought in this country's wars. There isnt a soldier in all of Iraq doing anything for me. Send them to Afghanistan and do some actual good. All going to Iraq did was bring the terrorists to there. Why is that so hard for you people to figure out? These soldiers are soldiers because they want to be, they know the cause and they are fighting for it. These soldiers have not been drafted. So when you disrespect the cause, you disrespect them and their lives and their families. You can't be for the soldiers and against the war, it is everything they believe in or they would'nt be there.
Typical Con thinking. They cant fathom something as simple as disagreeing with a war, without feeling negatively about the military. Its no wonder our clueless buddy sarah cant pick out simple themes in a paragraph. Go get the Cliffs notes like you probably had to use for freshman English. Your what, husband you called him, can sit around stating how every 'real American' feels the same way he does, and every vet does to. As far as your veteran friends and relatives viewing things the same way, I doubt the gene pool is too deep around your side of the lagoon.
