Study urges cutback in soda

Keep yourself healthy people. I read this story and go....duh!!!
But I know many of you do not. Losing weight is not a magic formula. It is not a magic pill. You simply need to raise the number of calories you burn, and lower the number of calories you eat. Stop counting carbs, stop stressing out. Soda is empty calories that don't contribute to anything but your waist line. This study states the obvious to me, but if it doesn't to you, read it and start getting healthier.

I'm a water-aholic. I drink lots and lots of water. It's good for weight control, it's good to quench thirst, and it helps for the body to flush out impurities. I drink sodas once in a while, but limit myself severely on them.

There's another reason one shouldn't drink sodas -- I saw a story yesterday that Coke & Pepsi had been banned from states in India due to pesticides. I haven't been able to find the exact story I read on it since, but it seems anyway that there's more on this anyway, today.

Check it out folks, a lot of people have said in jest that if you drink sodas, you're drinking poison. Now it seems that you seriously may be doing just that.

I"m not so sure on the poison thing, but I have read a few things that suggest that you don't only gain weight from the empty calories, but there is a chemical in soda that helps you retain fat...

Good God....
We actually paid these people to do a study to tell us this!

ugh...

Re: ingredient in sodas that helps to retain fat, a lot of naturalists & dietary purists do claim this (at least verbally). However, I haven't seen any evidence of it. I've run searches on this particular thing, and came up empty-handed.

Well, unreal, I'm not sure how paid the study is, but I do know that you're right about this being nothing that we didn't know already.
