Wisconsin State Fair Day 2: Friday August 4th

Day 2 in Review:
Well, I started off going to the Herb Kohl milk stand and getting two glasses of chocolate milk for 25 cents. I thought it was funny that a woman asked if they had "white" milk...the answer is no...they have 6 kinds, and one of them is not vanilla. The girl at the counter said, "You can get that anywhere"

Then it was down to the Wisconsin products pavilion where I devoured a pork sandwich. Another good choice...

Review of tonight's grandstand show:
Peter Frampton played a 90 minute set for the 3900 fans that remember the 1970's. Even though he played an hour and a half, I think he only played 9 songs that consisted of 5 minute slow, drawn out guitar solo's. I recognized "oh, baby I love your way" and "Show me the way" which were played half way through the show. It was a calm show, easy to work, and it was done early, which meant going out into the park for a bit of fun.

BREAKING NEWS: Benno is already declared Wisconsin State Fair Vendor of the Year!!!

For the last 4 years, the state fair grandstand security have voted for their favorite vendor. For the first three years, Benno's microbrewery tent and other assorted areas has overwhelmingly taken the prize. This year, after 2 days of searching for any vendor who would even put their name in the hat at a chance to take the crown away from Benno, the security team realized that the rest of the park's venders were not willing to go down in defeat once again. Therefore, with Benno being the only vendor in contention, he was presented with the "Vendor of the Year" award tonight. Benno was very happy to receive the award for a record 4th year, and declared himself "double vendor of the year" since his award from last year was still valid.

Make sure when you go to the State Fair to visit one of Benno's stands, especially his microbrewery tent next to the amphitheatre.

Great stuff!! Benno's is worth a
trip to the State Fair all by itself. He truly is the fair's out-
standing "VENDOR."
