No. 2 al-Qaida Leader in Iraq Arrested

Keep it up.
It doesn't fit in the DNC's template about how Iraq is a disaster, but well done anyway.
That really gets me actually. How in the hell can you can Iraq a complete disaster and a failure?
Is it perfect? No, no war is...
Just keep doing a great job America...some people still believe in you...hopefully our congress and President don't change political sides anytime soon so you have a chance to WIN.

More bad news for people who want to keep saying we are not winning the war on terror:
More than 200 Taliban die in Afghanistan

Personally, I'd prefer they didn't report until they know for sure. Keeps the moonbats quiet. But even if they're only 1/3 correct, it's still a good win. As to al-qaida's #2 guy, this IS confirmed and is great news. But I'm already getting dizzy just thinking about the spin that's sure to come.

Jay Bullock said...

Which #2 was this? Don't we get a #2 every few weeks?

Anonymous said...

Exactly, jay. Killing leadership is a great PR victory, but doesnt accomplish much.

Dedanna said...

Yep, was going to ask how many times the #2 man has been killed now?

The Game said...

there is your spin marshall...

Marshal Art said...

I'm dizzy already. But to clarify for those who can't or won't read, it's the #2 guy "in Iraq", meaning every theater has it's own pecking order. Hope that clears things up a bit.

The Game said...

every time we get rid of the number two guy or three guy...yes, there will another two or three guy...
but each time we lower their moral and mess up their plans...documents we have found show how low their moral is...ours is too, but that is only on the Left side of the spectrum

Wonder why the administration doesn't publish an org chart and scorecard so we can keep track.

I have a wild hunch that there will be a whole bunch of al-Qaeda #2s killed between now and election day.

What are the odds that they'll roll out bin Laden's body the last week of October? Will the American public fall for it yet again?

Marshal Art said...

Fall for it again? When did it happen the first time? Did someone claim bin Laden's death was confirmed? Or did only the left hear and buy that tale?

Jim said...

Fall for the "October surprise."

Pass the bong, please. That's gotta be good stuff. Don't be stingy.

Thanks for supporting my argument, marshall. Great PR, not much else.

Jim said...

Commissioner, uh, no. Saddam was captured in December of 2003. It had nothing to do with an October surprise.

And Commissioner, you DID support Bill Clinton (elected twice) on every policy decision he made, right? You didn't criticize him, did you?

The Game said...

can you just feel the hatred Jim has for his government? He believes that we are evil, from the beginning of our history...he must. We did do some evil stuff in the beginning..right now we are the greatest humanitarians in the world, the most caring and giving...and Jim comes in here sure of himself that the United States govt will do something militarily and time it to get votes.
When you vote for Dem's this is the thought process you are putting in Washington to represent you

Ron said...

Jim I don't think it is intentional but if you get even close to his cartoon liberal he just takes it the rest of the way.

We all should be supporting our country and the decisions that our elected officials make.

Commish!! My God! Do you know how unknowing that statement makes you look!???
That as a mandate is fascisim my friend.
This country has never done it that way and never will. I am sure as I am sitting here that you would have complaints if Hillary gets elected. Give on on your nationalist fascist dream state. It ain't gonna happen.

ron--

Republicans generally oppose command economics, social engineering, and support liberal democracies around the world.

Fascists support command economics, support social engineering, and support other fascists like Saddam Hussein and hate liberal democracies like Israel. (That Jews live there is an added bonus, though Jim will tell me BULLSHIT since advocating killing every Jew in Israel isn't anti-semitic, it is just "anti-Zionist.")

The Game said...

maybe Jim doesn't even know what he says actually means...
or he is ashamed when he gets called on it

Looks to me like Jim has to get in touch with Koz for responses.

As for the original point of the post, as long as they keep taking the Islamofacists out, it doesn't matter what number the are.

Ron said...

Jason your description still is closer to you guys than it does the islamofundies. Our enemies are less fascists than you are. They are fundamentalists and have al lot more in common with the right than they do the left in this country. That is if you get past the wingnut talking points. Hell the president just quoted the Osama and gave truth and fear to all he said. I would say that is doing the creeps work for him. What shmucks. You guys are turning into a nasty stain on America. Where is my "Shout".

Damn it! Fell for it again! I went to another site recommended by a lefty and now I'm sick to my stomach. To suggest for a moment that the right embodies the qualities of fascism is about the most ignorant notion one can imagine. And I use the term "ignorant" in it's most literal sense. In other words, you do NOT understand conservative thought or philosophy. Yet, one can find examples of fascism by looking left and not need a magnifying glass.

**Recently Laura Ingraham replayed an interview with a university girl who had started N.E.W.--Network of Enlightened Women--in an effort to give consevative women on campus a place to discuss their stuff. The Women's Studies Department gave a quick "NO!" when asked to simply help publicize their meetings.
**In the United Church of Christ, a group of Churches and ministers formed a group called "Faithful and Welcoming" in response to the UCC's Synod resolution to support gay marriage and the exodus of congregations opposed to the resolution. As in the above case, they were refused when requesting a place on the UCC website.
**Of course, one can't forget the trouble Joe Lieberman faced when siding with Bush on a single issue.

Just a few examples of fascism of the left. Real cases of inhibiting opposing views, whereas on the right, when we simply express those opposing views, we're labeled fascists. What a freakin' joke.

I love the way you bullshitters keep twisting my words to mean what you want them to mean.

Nobody needs to read what you say I'm thinking or saying. They can read the primary source.

Quit making shit up. It really makes you look extremely foolish and without credibility.

Hell the president just quoted the Osama and gave truth and fear to all he said.

Hell I thought he was quoting the DNC, since Osama uses their talking points, or is it they that use Osama's talking points, I can't tell...

Ron said...

Marshall, I wrote that and I am quite proud of it. You are the one that is ignorant, rubber glue and all that stuff you guys like to do. Republicans are not close to fascist but this administration fits the dictionary definition in every term along the way.
I can come up with plenty of examples of the things you mentioned coming from the rightists. Starting with the pres denying access to his campaign rallies in 04. Theres plenty more and you know it.
By the way, that is why I come here less frequently. Waste of time, it makes me sick to my stomach and fear for my nation.

Ron said...

gianni, the president borrowed osamas words to strike fear in the hearts of americans. I bet Osama appreciates it. Doing all that work for him and all.

Ron said...

By the way marshall, I note you weren't brave enough to post those comments on the blog the story came from? You being struck with fear these days too?

Marshal Art said...

Why should I? I wasn't conversing with them. I was responding to you. You should, BTW, fear for your nation. Bush repeats Osama's words to underscore the facts regarding Osama's intentions. If you had any sense, that is why you should fear for your nation. Because assholes like bin Laden not only say such shit, but do their damndest to see it through. He's not the only one either. So you can pretend that Bush & Co is a threat to your nation, but in light of comments publicized by our enemies, and the actions they have taken and promise to take, that doesn't speak well for you level of intelligence. Sorry for the slam, but facts are facts. The enemy wants to kill us, and Bush wants to prevent it. Period.

Dedanna said...

To add to that, if he was so dangerous to us and not the coward that he makes himself out to be, he'd not send his threats like a chicken shit via video or any other means.

We should fear a chicken-shit. Right.

Dedanna said...

But then, the above comments were brought to you by someone who's scared of nothing, and I mean that literally.
