An arrest has been made in the case of a college student killed last week as he delivered sandwiches, police said today.A 24-year-old man was arrested Sunday night in the death of Joseph Munz, 21, and the case has been sent to the district attorney for charging, said Anne E. Schwartz, department spokeswoman. She said citizen cooperation was key in making the arrest. Police released information about a white van spotted at the scene and citizens directed police to that van, she said.It appears the suspect robbed Munz, who fought and continued to fight after he was shot, Schwartz said. After the suspect emptied the gun's magazine of bullets, Munz kept fighting and was pistol-whipped by the suspect, she said. The attack took place about 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.Munz, who is from Lodi, was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and worked part-time delivering for Jimmy John's sandwiches. A memorial for Munz is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight at Spaights Plaza at the UWM campus.

Hell ya, death penalty. Even the bible says an eye for an eye.
Well, the Old Testament does and Jesus shot that down. But as far as capital punishment, Genesis has support for that saying, "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man."
Gen 9:6 NIV.
And I would have to say that to empty your magazine into a delivery guy qualifies.
I think this killer should be shackled to the first Death Penalty Opponent that speaks up. why should this killer be allowed anywhere to kill again? Death Penalty Opponents can't see that, therefore they willingly condemn others to death, but what if the next victims were DP Opponents?
Interesting how Christians quote the Old Testament every time it suits them, when the New is their actual reference book. Cant have it both ways folks.
Oh, and the guy should be locked up for the rest of his life, I agree. Death penalty does have merits in cases where there is undeniable DNA proof. Maybe if they would lift all the stupid laws, there would be room in prisons to house the really bad criminals.
rhyno is talking about weed...
and the scum bag we are talking about was on parole...I knew it...
Scorpion says---
Emptied the whole gun into him?
Pistol whipped him after all the
bullets were gone? Somehow out of jail for previous crap? DEATH PENALTY is the fitting choice for
his well thought out deed.
Damn right.
And rhyno, Christianity has nothing to do with it with me. I stated that the bible says an eye for an eye, but made no reference to old or new testament. I'm not even Christian, but have a spiritual ground.
I still think death penalty. But first, hang the dewd by his balls. Make him suffer a while.
Rhyno,
The Bible is our reference, both Old and New Testaments. You need to read and study it to understand when one applies and when one doesn't. Keep in mind that Christ said He didn't come to do away with the Law (Old Testament stuff). As a general rule of thumb, most, if not all, of the teachings of Christ are for how we act as individuals. Governments of nations are not individuals and the leaders of such have duties unique to the job. Many libs try to apply one to the other and do so improperly. Be happy to help you out with any confusion you might have. One at a time, please.
