Baker won't return to Cubs dugout

Dusty Baker is out for the Cubs...

He compiled a 322-326 record during his time in Chicago (4 years)

When I saw that, it make me think....what is the record of the Milwaukee Brewers in the last 4 years???

The Milwaukee Brewers record with Ned Yost as manager is 291-356.

So, the Milwaukee Brewers think that their .449 average is acceptable, while the Cubs think that their much better record is unacceptable. Translation, the Milwaukee Brewers are just fine with being a bad team, while the Cubs want to become a good team. The Cubs never will be, but atleast they are not in denial about how bad they are.

Everyone keeps saying, "They will be better next year, next year." Well, this was "next year" again....what will be your excuse "next year"???

HBO Sports has very recently produced an hour-long documentary on the Cubs -- "Wait Till Next Year" that is must viewing for any true baseball fan.

Keep an eye out for it!

Not only is Baker gone, but GM McPhail is as well. But don't be fooled, Game. This is not an indication of a true desire to be good. The Cub can fall down with every swing and crap their pants and still the house is full. Why would the Trib do more than a token gesture if the fans keep showing up to watch crap? They flirt with contention and then go back to being dirt. It sickens me. Go Bears.

Scorpion says---
Maybe Bobby Cox will retire in Atlanta, and ask the Brewers for permission to talk to Ned Yost. Nah---we should be so lucky.Besides, the Braves want to be better again next season.

The Brewers lost me as a fan after Bud Selig broke up Harvey's Wallbangers.

Selig is bad for baseball. I hope he never comes near the "Field of Dreams". Selig would make that situation worse than it is.
