It doesn't have to be filthy to be funny

I am putting this story here because I saw new Jerry Seinfeld material last night, and I couldn't stop laughing.
Seinfeld, the show, is the funniest show in TV history.
Jerry Seinfeld is one of the smartest, most clever comics around...
I'm actually going to see him next month...
So, do you have to swear to be funny?
Are the funniest comics the ones who swear?

It's all in the delivery and timing. I almost pee myself when I see Dave Chappell. The guy's hilarious to me. But I do have a greater appreciation for those who can get me there without the blue stuff.

As an adult, I like humor that speaks to adult references. It doesnt have to be vulgar. For example, I laughed my ass off at a 'blue' joke told by Bob Newhart a few weeks ago. No cursing or graphic descriptions, obviously. Like marshall, I have been a Dave Chapelle fan for about 10 years cuz he is great and he uses adult humor. Another example is the, now departed, Mitch Hedberg. Very adult humor, but little to no cursing or graphic desc....

Yet another great post. I never get tired of SEINFELD!You are able to catch new great comedy
even with every repeated show.Let's
start a campaign for a new show built around NEWMAN! What some great comedy could be built around
a New York postal employee with his daily trials and tribulations.
Plus you could bring back Kramer,
George, Elaine and Jerry now out of jail as guests.Feature many of the other great characters on a regular basis.Come on! I'll write the first show about nothing!
