The Dem's spend the last few days looking like they are going to go farther to the Left than Stalin, and then they make a good decision to not pick Murtha.
I guess it might be interesting to see how far left they go, and in turn how quickly they lose power.

Murtha has ethical problems but I like his stance on the war. Hoyer is K Streets bitch. I hate him.
Tactically, Hoyer was the right political choice from an impartial view. Murtha would have came loaded with obvious corruption problems, and corruption was the issue that moved many independents in the last election. Republicans were licking their chops over Murtha, who also incidentally promoted cut-n-run in Somalia in 1993, but will now have to wait until the Democrats inevitably find some other way to shoot themselves in the foot.
