Democrats Pledge Array of Investigations

I like to point out when I am correct.
I said that a vote for Democrats was a vote for investigation after investigation....and yes, impeachment will eventually get put on the table unless polling shows that it is hugely unpopular.
I love how Dem's have to hide their true colors around election time, THEN they strike with their unpopular liberalism.
How do so many get fooled?...its easy to see.

Nationally:
Dems said they would not look at impeachment and tried hard to not answer questions about it or large amounts of investigations.

Locally:
Doyle SAID he was for a property tax freeze, yet they were raised over 4% last year, and NOW there is more than a BILLION that needs to be either cut from the budget, OR taxes have to be raised.

You can't run as a real liberal....who would vote to raise taxes? Only those who don't pay any and live off the government...I'm sure someday this country will have enough of those people to vote in liberals...but for now that is not the case...so they dress up in different clothes for a few months every two years.

Which was a slightly safer prediction than that the sun would rise tomorrow. Duh, Game, it's what many Democrats campaigned on. Investigation is oversight is what Congress is supposed to be doing. Impeachment, you'll note, is off the table.

And no, liberals do not live to raise taxes, and even post-election now, no one in Wisconsin--liberal or not--is talking about raising taxes to balance next year's budget.

my point exactly, they will not talk about it, they will just do it

Jay,

You are either stupid or a liar. I have yet to find a Liberal Democrat who will tell the whole truth about how high they'd raise taxes. One of our local Iowa State Senators got coy about the subject just lamenting the last Democrat bloodletting after a string of Democrat tax raises. The GOP got control and this socialist just concentrated on ballot box stuffing and fighting any tax cut. He regularly offers tax raising legislation. He doen't believe in private property. Sounds quite a bit like you, Jay.

Jay, Will you shut up if you are presented with evidence WI Democrats are plotting to raise fees, taxes, and repeal tax breaks (which is a tax hike by another name)?

The Game said...

they come up with other names pcd...higher "fees" repeal tax breaks for rich, ect...

Game,

Don't varnish the truth. Liberals lie about their true intentions all the time.

Notice Jay won't take up the deal? Even Jay knows there are tax raisers among his liberal gang of socialists in Madison. He doesn't want to have to honor a deal where he'd have to shut up as a result of his lies being found out and put in his face.

So apparently you Republics agree with the so-called "Club for Growth" bunch who basically want to do away with government.

Republics have been in total control for the last 6 years. In that time they have increased spending while cutting taxes. Cutting taxes has NOT paid for itself.

So the national debt is nearly double what it was when Clinton left office. And how do we pay down the national debt when we still have deficits year after year? Well, we either increase revenues or decrease spending. A lot. Nearly 9 trillion dollars to make up.

How are we going to do that?

The Game said...

in the end, you never get more money by raising taxes...short term you do, but you send the economy eventually into recession...has happened EVERY time...and EVERY time taxes have been cut, within two years revenues skyrocket

and yes, cut the shit out of socialist, liberal programs

pcd, sorry for not "taking you up" on your "deal" while I was working today. Some of us have to make a living.

I'm curious, pcd, where you got the idea that I "don't believe in private property" or would offer "tax-raising" legislation given the chance. I just today called out an elected Wisconsin Democrat for hs misguided tax policies, for example. I own quite a bit of provate property. A lot of it pretty crappy, but nonetheless . . .

Tell you what. I'll shut up if you can prove, however you choose to, that I "don't believe in private property." If you can't, how about you shut up?

All those horrible investigations!

If he hasn't done anything wrong he has nothing to worry about huh?

"If he hasn't done anything wrong he has nothing to worry about huh?"

That would make sense if reasonable people thought he DID do something wrong. But it's not the case and the Dems would be wasting time and tax-payer money just to get their shots for the Bubba investigations. Very childish actually.

Jim,

This talk of the nat'l debt is always a little skewed. Of course the Reps spent too much; it played heavily in their being voted out of office. But as we've debated before, you and I, the revenues are way up as well, so the debt alone isn't as troubling by comparison. Should be lower, no freakin' doubt. But you can't be honest discussing the nation's economy without the context of overall growth. Also, the Dec issue of NewsMax has an article discussing how the deficits are the lowest since 2002. It's half of what was projected at the time, due to Bush's economic policies regarding tax cuts. Imagine how much better things would be if the Reps didn't spend like drunken Democrats! I hope you will encourage your lefty representatives to leave unfixed what ain't broken. I'll be doing as much here in the People's Republic of Illinois. Oh yeah...tell 'em to keep the National Wallet in the National Pocket.

not counting the supreme court and many constitutional scholars and lots of the population of america...not counting them i guess you are right again marshall, darned im always wrong.:-)

Jay,

You are the typical Liberal. The deal was on your Democrat legislators not having a tax raising legislation ready to go once the session bagins.

Nice try to shyster your way out of your own groundless statment about Democrats not living to raise taxes.

Now you're makin' sense.

Are you talking the Hamdan decision? Is there some impeachable offense there, or just a correction of policy according to the SCOTUS majority opinion? Constitutional scholars? They wouldn't be lib scholars would they? Gosh, they see plenty that doesn't exist. And citizenry? You mean those that voted against Bush and haven't gotten over his victory? Really Ron, if it comes to impeachment hearings and it's up to Dems to decide, Bush is as good as impeached now. But it won't be for any real transgressions, just the mystical type needed to satisfy the Dems.
