Emotion a factor in school closings

Now, when a school has so few kids in it that it is impossible to run, then I don't think there is anything you can do.
However, the newest hip liberal trend in education is small schools, and we have always been told smaller class sizes are better.
Then why does MPS keep closing schools?
The schools that are not over-flowing with students goes on the list to be closed...
So basically, the only schools that actually have manageable class sizes are closed, making other schools take in even more students. So instead of my class having 30 kids and another school having 22 kids per class, I have 40 or more when I have 35 seats in my room.
Really, nothing makes sense in the decisions of a school board or superintendent.
I am also confused as to why our MPS superintendent gets a free pass from the paper and community...
Every high school that has been changed to his liking is much worse off than it was before. His "small school" plan is a failure...

Watch what will happen to the"final" decisions on these buildings. It's not over yet.The amazing Superintendent already is unhappy with the negative reaction.
Bad publicity is something the top
heavy MPS brain trust can't stand.
GAME--You need to do a humorous post on "What does MPS stand for,"
to enjoy some of the responses.

It makes me glad I am not a teacher, actually. its bad enough doing tutoring and other after school activities in MPS, and thats in one of the 'good' schools.
