Global warming is often seen as cumulative, not progressive, and happens in geologic time, not whatever schedule you think it should follow.

I'm sure that the scientists must have run their data through a casio hand calculator because lord knows there are no scientists who would review, re-run the data and conclusions or ask others in the fields of climate, statistics, etc. to review their data, methods, and conclusions.
